In last place) I find Jack Black fairly devoid of wit, in his shouty-ness. For this reason I am not overly amused, and sometimes somewhat offended by his manner.

In second) I find Will Smith marginally less devoid of wit, in his shouty-ness. He doesn't offend me.

And you know, Carlton was funny.

I felt I had no choice but to go for the sauce, as none of the others add any flavour to my stews and soups.

Jack Black = Awesome comedian, very talented muscian (Tenacious D anyone?) and is still fairly awesome.
Will Smith = Awesome comedian/action hero. Is also a sell out. Not much else.

Comparing Jack Black to Will Smith is like comparing a dildo to a whoopee cushion. They just don't fall into the same category.

Oh, and sauce is obviously the answer.

I had to go with sauce. Jack is a great musician, but a crappy actor. Will Smith is a scientologist.

I can not find value in someone who knowingly or not supports an organization that promotes slave labor, child abuse, kidnapping, brainwashing, murder, vexatious litigation and evil aliens flying around in DC-8's, dropping other aliens and hydrogen bombs in volcano's who then become thetans who inhabit our bodies and cause all of humanities problems.

I don't like it when an actor plays exactly the same character every. single. freakin. time.

Some others I'd add to the list:

Keanu Reeves (Ted Theodore Logan)
Jim Carrey (Ace Ventura)

Not that they haven't done the occasional good movie or the occasional different character. I rather liked Truman Show for example. But when I look at Will Smith I just think "aw hell naw" as he punches an alien / robot / couple a guys who were up to no good.

A part of this may be extreme levels of typecasting. Where the director or writer or whoever wants the actor because the actor plays a certain character.

Although with Reeves it feels more like he just isn't a very expressive actor.
With Carrey it just seems like he really enjoys the persona of the "wild and crazy Fire Marshall Bob" or "The Mask" or "Ace Ventura" or whatever that movie was where he couldn't lie.

And Jack Black just plays Jack Black. That's all. If they wanted someone to play themselves they could have gotten anyone. That doesn't take acting chops, it just takes a weird personality. And that's fine for a movie or two, but Black has milked that shit for far too long.

So I chose sauce.
