I wonder if the elves will grow on the community once the new version comes.

Since they'll be bearded and all.

Nah I think the "Elf" is actualy the might Cacame Awemindale (totally got his name wrong I shall flog myself later.) Elf Hating Elf-King who was raised to Godlike status along with Ironblood and that "Everything Legendary" dwarf someone made.
Not to mention Thaliog  the Crypt of Brains (Did I get her name wrong too?)

This is a masterwork engraving by Urist McChiselhands. It is of an Elf. The Elf is pulling a lever. This relates to the death of Elf King Anana Freckledsparrow on 21st Granite, 137.

I love how in DF we can hate elves more than goblins because we actually have to work to get into a thousand year war with them.

You do not understand the ways of Toady One. He is not a business, he's just a guy trying to make a fun game. He's invited people to come along and experience the journey with him (and help him test it out as he goes along). At the end of the day, I don't think his main goal is to sell Dwarf Fortress, its just to create the best game possible.

Okay, I admit, that was a bit overkill.  The right way to kill Elves, as everyone knows, is with handfuls of sand.

I support this notion.
