I was looking at the engravings in my fortress when I discovered this:

Kadol Okosh "The Hatched of Vigor"

Engraved is a well-crafted Kadol Kordamlogen rendition of a superiorly designed image of a elf.  The image is the symbol of The Patterned Razor, a dwarven civilization.


I thought my dwarves might be going mad in the sun of the desert, but this??

Worse, they'll be scattered all around the dwarven civ, waiting to gank any would-be adventurur - they're freakishly high level wrestlers (They train *very* fast when there's a bunch of them - lots of sparring partners?) and half of them are legendary shield users too...

 Let's not jump to any extreme conclusions.  There's no description of the Elf in question that is this civ's symbol.  It could easily be an Elf that's being burned to death in magma, drowned in a trade depot trap, or mortally wounded by a steel crossbow bolt.  The lack of descriptors leaves this open for imagination, meaning this seemingly pansy Dwarven civilization could theoretically be the most awesome Dwarven civilization of all for making their symbol that of an Elf being painfully slaughtered.

It could just be an Elf with an X through it.  Making your dwarf civ officially a "No Elf Club".

But if it was an elf with something through it they still have to look at an elf all day (Well it depends on where the engraving is), destroy it, and the rest of them, for FUN.
