Hey, I noticed on the wiki (
http://www.myworld.hostzi.com/wiki/index.php/Fg_Kingdoms#Recruiting) that warfare is still in the works.
My suggestions:
Commander A & B every 'round' send the GM their orders for their troops. The GM then posts what has happened. (That way people can't wait for someone else to move to see where best for them to move). Maybe each type of soldier could have a morale score (Maybe based on level instead of type?). Each 'round' you calculate the percentage of soldiers lost. Take the percentage lost (I.E. if you have 80 percent of your soldiers left, you have lost 20 percent) is equal to or greater than a soldiers morale score you roll a percentage dice to see if that soldier retreats (Idk if this forum has a dice roller?). 1-75 means the soldier does not retreat, 76-100 means he does.
Example: Soldier A is a recruit. He is in an army of 10. A recruits morale score is 10. One soldier dies from Soldier A's army. 10 percent of the army is therefore lost and Soldier A is shaken (term for a soldier whose morale score is equal to or less than the percentage of the army lost). The GM rolls a percentage dice (1-100) and gets a 78. Soldier A has just wet himself and run in the face of the foe. Give him to the magma pits. He was unworthy.
Fleeing soldiers should move as fast as possible back towards their 'side' of the battlefield, and if they make it to the edge of the map they live (maybe lose half exp if they fled due to morale loss, and not from tactical retreat). However the enemy can cut/bow/blast down the fleeing foe before they escape.
