going to mountain forts
« on: February 12, 2010, 04:32:46 am »

Is it possible to visit fortresses set in mountains whilst being a mass murdering cannibal psychopath with godly throwing skills adventurer? I had some sweet decorated crap in there, and I wanna go get it. I'm skilled enough to take the masses of unarmed goblins and ogres... If I can't even get there, I wasted several weeks for nothing.

Abandoned fortresses are saved for adventure mode. Things will not be as you left them.

I meant that is it possible to travel on mountain tiles, or do you have to do it manually?

You can travel from a mountain to a normal travelable area.
But you cant travel from something to a mountain tile.
Get it?

So you have to go on foot... enjoy your 20 hour crossing...

I take it the fortress was in some kind of valley? AFAIK, it's impossible to embark on an all-mountain terrain.

You can travel on fortress tiles if there's a walkable tile you can do it from nearby.
