Hey, Eduren. Way to pop back in and ignore the fact that I'm voting you for lurking.
Way to stick to a lurker-vote in order to stay active, Sirbayer.

What is this I don't even

You're kidding, right? Please tell me you're kidding.

What? How is that admitting? When I said lurker-vote I was talking about Your Reason For Voting Me.

I disagree with your lurker assessment wholeheartedly. You only gave me 12 hours(at night even!) before you went "Where's Eduren lol??" Please tell me how I was lurking.

He admitted to lurking. So what? Lurking is by far not the most horrible scumtell. The fact that he's aware of his lurking is good.

Take back what I said about them both being town. SirBayer is scum.

1. Lurker vote, as eduren mentioned, is not the best choice without supporting evidence. As a professional lurker, I know that over half the time the answer (truth or lie) to "Why are you lurking?" is real life.

2. You push That vote without giving much time to respond, as eduren kindly pointed out.

3. Other stuff from the first voting period. You're giving off scum-vibes to me.

So, Rysith. Its awfully convenient how when jokerman starts buddying with you, you just warn him "You don't want to do that." What's the matter, is he ignoring your advice in scumchat? Something of a loose cannon? You're tunneling on Shade's and applying a lot of pressure, but somehow I don't feel its like you to let an obvious scumtell like that go with a mere warning. Afraid of an OMGUS? By all means continue pressing shades, but if you're town you had better stop tunneling and start paying attention to other people who act scummy, or you'll be at point zero again whether he flips town OR scum. That's my piece of advice.

I am paying attention to the other people, I just feel like each person has their own way to get them to dig holes, and some of them don't respond nicely to pressure like Shades has been. Same vote, same reason, since he hasn't been in here to respond since my last post. But with a scum day one to pressure, and everyone else to mine for reactions, I feel like the town is in good shape.

And the FOS on Jokerman was exactly what (I've been told) FOSes are for: I would be voting you if I didn't feel like there was something more important for it to be doing. Well, that coupled with a bit of "give helpful advice" and a certain desire to see how he would react to that advice. We don't have any hard data yet, and I'll take my reactions any way I can provoke them, because that's what day one is about.

Shades, that's the first attack you've made on anyone since your random-vote on Org. It's against a lurker in a game of (relatively) active townies.

Or possibly it's because lurking is bad for the town and that this was the first point this game there was any reasonable reason to vote for someone. Also he's now posting so it worked. Unvote

It avoids analysis, or accusations, and it's not a particularly strong attack.

It is analysis, they didn't post. It's an accusation, scum can hide in lurkers, and it's a far more sensible voting reason than anything I've seen from you this game.

We don't have any hard data yet, and I'll take my reactions any way I can provoke them, because that's what day one is about.

In fact this is the only statement you've made I agree with.

I don't have time to write more but:
Kashyyk, you have been lurking. Your first post was seems normal for the stage we were at.
I'm here now. School is fun.

anyway, Eduren why are you in this? I thought your town game was ok.
But your second post has about the same amount of content, at a point where you should have had something more to go on.
sigh, and I thought this forum was serious enough to not do that sort of thing RedWarrior. Honestly. You appall me.  ;)

Anyway, Org a little more content please instead of active lurking.
And your third post is totally pointless.
Dakarian: Idoes voting someone for a particular reason, having it dealt with and then unvoting and not getting another vote on before the votewipe count as being inactive?
Unvote vote Archangel, I don't remember seeing you for a while. Get in here!
I wasn't able to post at all before this.
So, who do think is suspicious?

For the record, the prods are removed for now.  All are active.

Current Vote Count
Jokerman-EXE[1]: Eduren (Going for the easy lynch, convoluted accusations)

Eduren[1]: SirBayer (confessing to lurking)

SirBayer[1]: RedWarrior0 (lurkerhunting, last minute push, ext.)

Kashyyk[1]: Archangel (active lurking)

Shades[1]: Rysith (nervous/defensive/ext.)

Org[0]:
RedWarrior0[0]:
Archangel[0]:
Rysith[0]:
GlyphGryph[0]:

Not Voting: Jokerman-EXE, Org, GlyphGryph, Kashyyk, Shades

1. I'll also join in on the "very impressed with the fighting going on so far" fanclub.

2. A small(I'll TRY!!) note on 'lurking' vs 'active lurking'

Lurking = They aren't posting at all.  Scum do this at times, but so does anyone.  A pressure vote to wake them up is fine but most times, lurkers are best dealt with by the host.  The best time to attack a lurker for lurking is AFTER they raise their head.

Active Lurking = they are posting, but without much content.  The game FORCES folks to attack but it'll be easy to see those that attack just to keep active and spend the rest of the time doing nothing.  That is very scummy sidelining.  Best approach: force them to do a real attack then read how they handle it.

Note of caution: Some players are just passive and thus active lurk a lot, especially newbies.  When reading, try to determine if they are naturally passive (possible town) or if they are scared, 'confused', or just seem to have no real reason to fight (scumtells).

3. Other stuff from the first voting period. You're giving off scum-vibes to me.

This adds onto what I was saying, about how he's being both uncharacteristically pushy and almost frantic (so it seems to me). I'm also feeling his scumminess, though I'm less experienced than Red here at detecting it. SirBayer has my vote again.

I'm going to have to go for SirBayer too, as every single post he has made seems to have no content. Just fluff. And although lurkerhunting isn't necessarily a bad thing he really should be going for something more solid.

Archangel: Acknowledged.

Sidenote: Since no one KNOWS whether someone is town or scum, it's assumed that a typical townie would be too paranoid to have good thoughts about any other players since they 'may be scum'.

Thus speech that puts another player in a favorable light, ESPECIALLY, if it's casually placed, can be classified as buddying-attempting to associate yourself with another.

Buddying is a VERY powerful tactic for mafia, so much so that although we all know to watch for it, it's still a good idea for scum to perform it if they can get away with it.  If a mafioso can succeed in getting a townie to like them or, worse, ally with them, it becomes much harder for the town.  The town-buddy can be used as a mouthpiece, as a hostage (if things turn bad, the town can turn on the town buddy), a shield, and/or a second vote.  Whole games have been won by this one tactic alone.

"So we can't even be nice to each other?"  Rather blunt but just about right there.  Mostly just try to remember that the person you're about to defend/speaknicelyof could be scum and that should be enough to curb your enthusiasm.
