I would love to hand out the jacket, it is the right move, but, unfortunately, I fused with it at character creation, I fear that I won't be able to upgrade my armour for the same reason...

But, I genuinely wish that I could, but the leather jacket is the whole reason that I am The Fonz, If I lost it, then I couldn't be The Fonz anymore...

Oh the dilemmas we face...

I think that my problem may be that I apply my powergaming drive to my roleplaying...

Yeah, well I bought the construction gear for $100 more than the sports pads, yet they are functionally identical (the extra 0.1 DR will NEVER give you an extra health point, and the minimum zombie damage is 1, so...) I suppose if we fights bandits again who have shotguns/MP5, it will help a little more (taking 6 .75 damage shots instead of 5 with the sport pads) but against zombies it has literally no advantage(Taking 4 hits with either the sports pads or construction gear).

Yet I bought it anyway, because I am the engineer, and the engineer needs a hard hat.

Hmm, Maybe I'll be a Demoman. We don't have one of those yet, and explosions are fun!

The Grenade Launcher has unlimited normal ammo, right? You just pay extra for the special ammo?

Yeah, I believe so. I'd considered going demo as well, decided on shotguns, because shotguns are cool.

The Demoman class weapon should be a 105mm artillery piece. Pistoleer should be a hand cannon. Hero and Acrobat do not need a class weapon any more.

Are there any spaces left for this round?
Yes. One more. You're in.

No prob *smacks the side of the game rules*, I'll just trade 'em in for repair kits and sell those, aeyyyy!
Items made with scrap cannot be sold. If you buy a repair it, you can sell it; if you make one out of scrap, it is functionally the same, but just too terrible for the shopkeeper to buy it.
Also, Obsessed was a dumb flaw, made on the whim of the moment and without an actual looting system; I removed it.

Yeah, well I bought the construction gear for $100 more than the sports pads, yet they are functionally identical (the extra 0.1 DR will NEVER give you an extra health point, and the minimum zombie damage is 1, so...) You're missing an interesting point there. Suppose you have 3 HP. You wear armor that blocks literally no damage - it blocks an infinitely small amount, 10^(-∞). Under your system, this would be entirely worthless, yes? Certainly armor that blocks infinitely little damage seems to be.
You get hit for 3 HP.
You're still alive. You have 10^-∞ left.
Also, the two are meant to be used in conjunction. If you buy some armor that gives you a bunch more HP, then upgrading to newer armour might be less useful than just getting some other armour which effectively does the same.
That being said, I think I might use that system to rebalance armour efficiencies sometime. I couldn't think of a good system, like Damage per turn for weapons, but that's a good one. I'll use that.

Yup.

You're missing my point. I'm not saying that the armor is worthless; quite the opposite. Rather, I'm saying Construction Safety Gear ($200, 0.2 DR) has no tangible benefit over Sport Pads($100, 0.1 DR) due to the low hit point totals. You would need at least 10 HP, for the CSG to provide any benefit over the Sport Pads when fighting zombies. As an Engineer wearing both a Leather Jacket and the Construction Safety Gear, I would have an effective 5.2 HP with 0.2 reduction, and I would be able to take 6 hits from normal zombies. If I wear Sport Pads instead of the CSG, which is $100 cheaper, I would be able to take... 6 hits from normal zombies. They're essentially the same, except one costs more.
