I always wanted to play a Myst game, I played Riven when I was younger but never got anywhere cause I was like 8. 

May download it...

Thats pretty much my experience (except I think I was even younger). All I really remember is that it was really really tough. I'm thinking of grabbing a myst game now so I can conquer one of these things.

Bump to let everyone know that things are running pretty smooth now with only minor hiccups. The Launcher is a pain sometimes, though. If you find that the launcher gets stuck searching for patcher updates or something, Log out of your computer and log back in. That usually resolves it.

This problem is actually caused by the launcher not properly closing when it dies or finishes. You can fix it by turning off urulauncher.exe in your task manager, under processes (logging off clears your processes, of course, having the same effect).

That's what I thought at first too, but when I went into the task manager and manually deactivated the launcher, the problem persisted until I logged out.

I played this once before, but then it went down.

How deep is this game really? What's the point of it? Are there some sort of extremely rare areas?

As to how large the game is, just from the bits I've been through so far, pretty big. It has the expansions to the game that were released before already in it as well. Really the point of it is puzzling out the many difficult puzzles with friends. Everyone on this forum should join up to do just that.

Heck I completed the myst series without any help (aside from a mistake made by the developers) so I'm gonna be there!.....if this horrible computer of mine can handle it (laptop broke)
