I shall pray to The Groundhog for a colder winter, and Father Winter for snowfall.

thanks to you ideas, we too shall start icing the floors and building snow blocks.

Nah, not as long as he doesn't dig any rooms larger than 7x7.  Even then he can just build supports.

One of those is a real suggestion.

You must source shovels, picks, snowscrapers!
You must find scrap wood to use as supports for your tunnels (don't forget them. Safety first)
Expand the tunnels! Make them deeper! Make rooms underground!

So, today has seen tragedy. One of our ice blocks had a major chip in it that let some snow inside the igloo and now the ice-wood floor is all nasty looking because of it.
