The image is very blurry. It means kobolds are walking around with big pink blocks behind them. xD

I think that might just be tinypic, I certainly haven't blended anything.  Looks like they autoconverted the bmp to jpeg.

Here's an update of the rework, in png.  See if it works better:

Hmm... I may have left a folder read-only or something, if only because Windows ignores it completely.  I'll make sure the folders tonight aren't, if that helps.

Just worked out that it's due to me converting the JPEG into a BMP with paint.

Any way to do it cleaner?

I use Allegro Sprite Editor, because it's free and I'm used to it, but it's got a few annoying bugs.  I'm not an artist, so I don't really know if there's a better way to work with these things.  I'm going to look into setting up The Gimp for sprite work after tonight, but I'm sure it'll have a lot of features I don't need and will never learn how to use.

As a general rule, though, just don't ever work with sprite sheets in a format with compression, it makes them practically unusable.

Can't you upload a .bmp version of it? It does keep messing up. =p

40d16 supports .pngs, you should only have to change the line in the graphics text from koboldz.bmp to koboldz.png, and just save the rework above to the races folder.

I think most of the image hosts autoconvert .bmps to save space, so that wouldn't do much good.

EDIT: Also, FYI, the zombie and skeleton military sprites are swapped, but it's fixed in the release sheet.

Alright, up to version 0.8, and I have the tileset more or less where I want it.

I'm in need of a set of action screenshots to show off the fancy-pants sprites and whatnot and make the OP sexier 8).

Because the last version rolled out a lot of new things, I also need feedback on how they're working.  I haven't spent nearly enough time playing to be able to evaluate 'em.  If anything is broken or crazy unbalanced, let me know and we'll work out a fix.
