Seeing on how this group is Chaotic Neutral, I think I know what I'm going to be.
Neutral Gnoll Druid. :) ...if that's okay with their +1 LA and 2 humanoid levels. :P

You cannot play a LA +1 gnoll druid at the first level. You can play a LA +0 gnoll druid:

-Medium size
-30' movement
-Humanoid Type (Gnoll subtype)
-Darkvison 60'
- +4 Strength, -2 Intelligence, -2 Charisma
- Automatic Languages: Gnoll, Common. Bonus Languages: Draconic, Elven, Goblin, Orc
- +1 Natural Armor

Or play a LA +1 gnoll who eventually becomes a druid, but is not one yet.

TOMB does not, to my knowledge, exist. He's refering to Tome, I think, which is a set of extensive house rules which are linked in the first post.

Yha, sorry, there is a verity of boring reasons I call it TOMB but I am trying to stop.
In hindsight, I should have picked a name other than Ulfgar. I've accidentally called him Urten multiple times in my writing.

Our heros approach the cavern in which the dangerous bugbear jewel-theif known only as "Grungo". Haurach and Urten, the two magicians, both approach the cave with weapons drawn while Ignacius and Rukkuz hold back.

You hear a howling noise comming from within the cave! What do you do?

From inside the cave comes the sound of hurried footsteps. As Ulfgar sees the party he slows to a leisurely stroll, attempting to show that he wasn't startled by the howling.

"That bastard! I asked 'round town fer a good spot to start my prospectin'. He took ten gold as a "donation" and sent me here with that... thing."

Ulfgar looks at the party.

"You look like yer plannin' on goin' in there. Plannin' on leavin' without me, eh? Not a chance! You need someone like me with you or you've got an elf's chance in Boatmurdered of coming outta there!"

Ulfgar falls in behind Rukkuz and Urten.

((I'm taking ten gold off of my character sheet so I'm not making a liar of myself.))

You recognize the noise to be the wailing of an injured xorn-snake, a sort of serpent which, like the xorns, can glide through earth and stone.

The mighty barbarian, Rukkuz, takes the lead as the party encounters Ulfgar, Cave-ranger of the (im)famous fortress of Boatmurdered. Although he did not yet get far into the cave, his experience will be valueable to our heros. Also, his mule will be able to carry some of your stuff.

Okay guys I say we sneak forward and peek around that corner.

Also a knowledge the planes check (+6) to get more info on the xorn-snake. Particularity whether or not it is dangerous.
