Holy crap that's a lot of snow.
« on: February 05, 2010, 11:24:20 pm »

So the east coast is getting pummelled with snow right now.  Currently have about 8-10 inches already, and it should end up as a record-breaking storm.  Not going ANYWHERE for awhile.   :-\

Seems some places will get a good 30 inches of snow. Now to those people who live where you need to rebuild your house every year because the old one eventually went below the snow line, know we don't get much in the way of winter weather. We are mostly a sub-tropical climate, and never get stuff like this.

I actually like this, and must thank Texas again for having those clouds develop into our winter fun.

Illinois here, been raining and snowing for about 8 hours, already got a good inch or so of slushy ice and 3 or 5 inches of snow.

It was drizzling and kinda frosty earlier this week.  It was 70 and sunny today.  God I love midwestern weather.

Haha! Take that east coast. West coast is sunny and mild. At least my corner of it.

Where do you live?

Winterpeg Canada.

(For those of you who don't know about Celsius, 100 the temperature water boils at, 0 is when water freezes, and -30 is when you start losing fingers if you stay outside to long without mitts.

I don't care if you live where you don't normally get snow.
This is not worth the amount of attention it's getting.

Well, unexpected snow can cause a lot of problems. Power outages where it builds up on tree limbs unaccustomed to the weight, thousands of drivers who have no experience driving in snow...

Luckily we're going into a weekend.

Man, I'm so jealous.

Hmmm...
Talar du svenska?

Well, Svenska is quite mild for it's degrees north. Has something to do with Norges mountains IIRC.
