You pass back through the west intersection, then north again to the cold pool. Then you go back south through the intersection again, stepping on another pressure plate.

Spears jut out from the walls. They narrowly miss you this time.

You head east, then south through the partially-collapsed hallway. You're at the Water Monster again.

It looks like it's going to attack! You throw your frigid load at it!

It's a direct hit!

The Water Monster is frozen solid.

Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

You do a little dance. Victory!

Then you try to break a piece of ice off to soothe your hand.

Oh well. You grab a bit of ice. Your hand still really hurts.

Further investigation of the Water Monster's lair reveals that the pool is pretty frozen, but clear. Way down at the bottom you see a big metal chest.

Get another bowl of freezing liquid, remember where that trap is this time! Then leave the bowl halfway down the stairs and keep going.

Imagine a cool peice of sky-blue and milk-white marble about 3cm by 2cm and by 0.5cm, containing a tiny 2mm malacolite crystal. Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch. Then, imagine that those miles will melt back into their mantle long before any telescope even refracts an image of their planet. The watchers will be so excited to have that image too.

...Wow, It seems like most of us forgot him... ...Which body and when again? I remember something about a body, but when was it?

When we've first encountered the water monster, we were carrying the (I thought we could save him) body of a native who lives in this building. He died because he stepped on a snake, which bit him causing shock and bleeding.

He IS gone... ...I have a bad feeling about this...

You don't see his body around anywhere.

You go back to the cold pool, through the intersection, to fill up your bowl again. Then you bring the filled bowl back through the intersection, through the partially collapsed hall, past the water monster's ice rink, and leave it on the stairs.

You continue down the stairs ...

At the bottom of the long flight of stairs it's much warmer. Humid. You hear vague echoes of chanting and the strong smell of cloves and incense and sweat. There is some glowing moss on the high ceilings and you can see a little ways down the long main hall to the south.

It branches West beyond the bottom of the stairs, then East a little farther, then continues South out of view.
