Set some piece of crap we don't need on fire. Throw in BEEES room.

Anything, as long as it's not our magic rope  >:(

You check out the three clay tablets with the strange writing. There are pictograms showing a bare-chested person in some kind of kilt, going through the rituals.

The rituals are Healing, Light, and Divination. Healing and Light must have a target, while Divination gives you a hint. If you don't ask a specific question, the hint will be for one of your current main obstacles.

Using a ritual doesn't take much time, and it doesn't take any special materials. But in exchange for the use of the ritual, one of your Important Items disappears. It won't necessarily take something on your person.

(Using a ritual is sort of a cheat code, so there is a downside to it)

You get some wood and some moss from the Turtle Fountain hoard on Level 2, wrap the moss around the wood, and go upstairs. You go to the oil urn room and soak the whole package in oil.

You creep over to the west, to the room with the Giant Bees. With the brighter light from your lantern, you can see more of the room than you did last time.

The bee room has a wide walkway around the walls, but in the center is a shallow square pit. Four stairways descend the four feet or so to the middle, where there are some old wooden tables and pillows. Against the walls of the pit are low wooden padded couches. Above, around the walls of the room, are scattered wooden couches and tables and cupboards.

In the far wall of the room is a huge nest, and the Giant Bees (actually they're wasps, but whatever) buzz in and out of it. They seem agitated by your presence.

On the west end of the room is a passage leading onward.

You light and throw your oil-soaked bundle. It lands on some pillows in the depression and begins giving off lots of smoke. The Giant Bees, after some time, become lethargic and start crawling around (screw you, science!).

You grasp your Supple Leather Rope, and whip it toward the nearest Giant Bee. The rope whistles through the air and wraps around the bee, which begins to freak out and buzz around trailing the rope. You snap the rope and the bee is bounced around, smacking into the walls and other bees. The bee falls apart and the rope curls back, coiling up nicely in your hand.

There are eight more live bees. Some are lightly bonked.

There is a dead bee here, torn in half.

Whip some more bees. Shieldbash any that get close to us. Get out if the bees start becoming active again

This is going great.  :D Our rope truly is awesome

You snap the rope back out, grabbing another Giant Bee. You yank it around, but it buzzes right for you! It slips out of the rope! You block it with your shield, and stomp on it while it's stunned.

This sort of thing continues without anything bad happening to you, and eventually you have slain all the Giant Bees. You find that the rope isn't infallible, but it's supernaturally good. You find that by concentrating, you can command the rope to move and strike even without moving your arms, but it's much easier to do it the normal way.

There are nine dead Giant Bees here in varying states of wreckage.

Get some more oil-soaked wood, set fire to the nest this time. If the wood looks flammable, use some of the furniture from the room as firewood.

We don't want to get ambushed by some giant wasp queen  :o

You go back to get more wood and soak it with oil from the oil urn to the east on Level 1, then you go West to the BEES room and set the nest alight. More smoke pours out, but the ceiling is high and you have a mask.

The furniture in the room is flammable, and burns readily when you throw it on. You throw several pieces of furniture onto the blaze, to the dismay of countless potential museum curators!

You hustle West through the smoke. You're in a short hallway. Smaller passages lead north, south, and west. To the east the hallway opens up into the Killer Bee Room.

Go south

Also, you're fast, doing both this and Basement Stuck at the same time   :)

:P Thanks

You creep South. This room contains some metal rods extending from wall to wall across the room, with scraps of fabric hanging from the rods. The fabric separates the room into several square spaces, with a wooden bed in each section. The center section is bare.

Upon one bed you find a bow and a knife.

Take knife, but leave bow. We don't have any ammunition, and though I suppose we could make some I like our rope better anyways.

Then search all the square spaces, unless we have already done so ( since we found the bow and knife ). If so, head north twice. If we don't find anything, same.

You search but there is nothing further in the room besides the knife and bow. You take the knife.

There are arrows you found earlier. You dropped them off at the Turtle Fountain.

You head north out of the room, and then through the north passageway. This is an identical room as the south, but here you find a lantern and a backpack out in the open.

Make sure Fedora is on right. Smooth edges down to either create a downward or upward slope, depending on preference. To put it on after fixing it, use the your thumb and your middle finger to put on one of the inwards folds near the top. Put the other finger on the edge created by the two folds.

Then, take the bow to the hoard. then continue exploring
