You try to lasso the mace handle. But there's nothing on the handle to catch the rope. You actually manage to get the rope around the handle but it slides off.

Tie clothes rope with 50 foot rope to get you out.Wrap charcoal in shirt, tie shirt to big combined rope so you can have a heavy weight.

And if all of that fails masturbate.

I'm afraid that won't even fit through the crack.

It's really only a small chunk of charcoal. You could use your canteen, that's a heavy weight. But the other voice in your head is right, the crack is too small. It's the width of the mace handle, just a couple inches.

The other voice also vetoed your fleeting desire to feverishly massage your junk.

Big enough to shove your junk in?

Heat remaining charcoal to cook snake meat and warmth. Ponder how you could get throught the doors.

The snake meat is already cooked. You heat up your charcoal for warmth using your big burning torch.

You wonder what's happening back home. It's been a while since you've been back. You spend most of your time hopping from one foreign country to another, learning just enough of the language to buy a cup of joe before moving on.

You think about the doors. They are pretty high up. Maybe there's something in the pit that could help? To date, you haven't searched much of this place very carefully. Only occasionally have you bothered to examine something.

Do a very detailed search of the area.

Also, take a piss. You haven't had one in many, many, hours.

So you can rest in the warmth of your own piss?

You search the pit, and find a stone block that you can pull out. Once that's out, behind it there's another block that doesn't pull out but it feels like you can shimmy it upward. You use your shield to wedge under it and lift it to expose more tunnel beyond.

The problem is, it's very heavy and it took you a long time and a lot of effort to wriggle the block upward. You'll need to either let it fall behind you or prop it up with something sturdy. At this point the only thing you have that would work is a torch or your shield.
