I think mount and blade balanced lances by the fact that mounted combat is really difficult to get the hang of...

Besides we all know lances on horses was the ultimate weapon.

That does not equal 'unbeatable' - and that's what they would be, had the AI not been dumb.

We are doomed. It's just that whatever is going to kill us all just happens to be, from a scientific standpoint, pretty frickin' awesome.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

The game has suddenly decided that I haven't activated it. Trying to activate it again doesn't help.

Have you tried reinstalling it?

You should really look to the wilderness for your stealth ideas, it has been doing it much longer than you have after all. Take squids for example, that ink trick works pretty well, and in water too! So you just sneak into the dam upsteam, dump several megatons of distressed squid into it, then break the dam. Boom, you suddenly have enough water-proof stealth for a whole city!

Contact Taleworlds. I'm assuming you don't have it on Steam?

If you bought it off Taleworld's website you should be able to log in there and view your keys. If on steam, right click and there should be an option to view keys.

I was going to try reinstalling it first. Is there a saved game folder? I have a boxed copy of the original Mount and Blade bought from Ebay.

C:\Users\[UserName]\Documents\Mount&Blade Warband Savegames

That's where my save games are, at least.

Playing Pendor again, and Ooo.... How satisfying it is to sit there as your army of nothing but Noldor, Ravenstern rangers, and silvermist rangers create a river of arrows that kills everything withing 500 meters. Army of lion knights with shields? Turns into a pile of horses, shields, and corpses.

Umm, what is going on?

(Now I remember how bad the text spam could be filling up the screen, hopefully M&B2 fixes that.)
