Since I got a suit of full plate along with non-DLC horse armor I've been able to kill 50% more enemies leaving 50% less for my men.

Hey, question: am I the only one that's found the magical wonder of jumping while on a horse? That is, to avoid obstacles, (such as people). I have on more than one occasion slain an enemy while vaulting him, (and the three horses behind him, tis some Evel Knievel stuff going on with these horses). Pure. Awesome.

Finally tried it AGES ago, but I remember it hadn't occurred to me for a while after starting the game.



Also semi-related: been playing perisno for a while, gotta say the heavy drahari mace is where it's at. It's all pretty, has top tier (for a bludgeoning weapon) stats, and the model is true to them; every miss feels like a miss, every hit feels like a hit, (unlike SOME weapons). But mostly it's pretty.

Jumping on a horse is awesome. If your horse if fast enough, you can even jump over cavalry. There's also this arena with a long low fence in the middle, the AI won't jump over it, but you can (and you can even without a horse).

Jumping on foot is pretty awesome as well. Especially against cav.

You can pretend to be a Fantasy Viking Samurai in Pseudo-Renaissance Italy and kill horsey-riders with weapons that would normally be too short, AND it gets much harder to be trampled if it happens at all (not sure on that). Also: jumping overheads with 2h sword in the arena are pretty fun to pull off.

It depends on weight of the items you're carrying, I guess. I know running speed does.

Just generally? I've heard mean things about pendor, monsters & runed bows. Perisno from what I've seen has some rather OP cav armies running around early on & some typos.

On foot jumping is essential to fight large groups of cavalry. Charging lancers WILL wreck you with couched lances no matter what, so jumping and slashing gives you a speed and badass bonus.

I've always had trouble hitting people that're directly in front of my steed, but I haven't had the chance to try it myself-- I have a steed.

It's also how you fight lancers in mp. You need to jump and slash to stop them.
