So. Warband is out I guess? And Lumbajak was awesome and bought be it because he's got some sort of defect that requires he spend money on me I guess? I think it's called philanthropy and symptoms include being awesome and being thanked by Jackrabbit way more often than is necessary or occasionally possible.

I LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH. It took me forever to actually get a lance though. But now I have one, and two horses and I am trampling shit man you have no idea it's just getting flattened oh my God.

By the by, I heavily suggest getting the Diplomacy mod off their forums for use in Singleplayer. It's so heavily recommended they've been begging Taleworlds to just include it in Native.

It doesn't change a whole lot, the full feature list (and the download) can be found here

I personally prefer going 'Norman' as a mailed knight with great lance, shield, arming sword (it MUST be an arming sword!) and either a bag of javelins, a one-handed mace, or a bastard sword. I'm sort of disappointed javelins don't receive a speed bonus from a courser at full tilt. Those things would go through shields in real life. I ought to mod that...

I've found it does quite a bit, bigger armies from the start = fast progress.

Uhm so I'm trying the Warband version of Sword of the Damocles and I'm not sure if its is working as it is supposed to.

I can get vaegir recruits and upgrad them to their units, altough I shouldn't be able to do that.

And can I travel to the other continent?

You can send knights on quests to the old country to retrieve artifacts, but you can't go there yourself.

Not sure about the recruiting thing, been a while since I played the mod, but I can't remember anything about not being able to upgrade another nations' units.

Well the description said something about not beain able to upgrad faction troops unless you were part of this faction.
So normally you should be restricted to mercenaries.

Maybe thats because the Warband version is still unfinished.

Also the Character creation doesnt work as ist is described.
You're supposed to make unique Mod choices like faith, faction, ect., but I just had the regular choices plus the faction choice.

No I'm playing the Warband version, which turns out to be a port of an earlier version of SOD.

Looks like it might take some time to have a fully functional port for Warband.
If one ever comes out...

Would it be worth getting the original Mount&Blade just for this mod?
Or are there any good Warband mods, which allow more in depth castle/town managment and speed up the process of becoming king?
