Has there been any news on Bannerlord, or is it still just a teaser trailer and a distant dream?

Well apparently Bannerlord is not being published by Paradox and instead being self-published. This is apparently why nobody knows what's going on with it.

They're still working on it. In the thread for the latest Warband patch, they said they only tasked two guys with patching Warband, everyone else was too busy on Bannerlord.

I wish Taleworlds were a bit more like Wolfire.

Taleworlds just kinda releases an update practically unannounced, with no indication an update is even coming.

So, the Clash of Kings mod has finally entered it's 1.0 release. Definitely one of my favorite mods of all time, and it includes both a fully realized Westeros, complete with proper families and holdings, as well as Essos.

Definitely going to make a point of playing that sometime soon.  I've been missing M&B lately.

Why is it Mount & Blade 2? Probably because Warband was too obviously derivative for its own numeral.

It isn't. Mount & Blade 2, I mean. It's not a thing. Mount & Blade: Bannerlord, however, is a thing.

People will probably just call in "M&B 2" because people don't seem to like 'bannerlord,' at least from my observation.

I for one, have and intend to continue calling it "Banana Lord."

That was GTA:SA.  I'm pretty sure this M&B sequel is Banister Lard.  Wheee!
