Although lets be honest, when you get late game rhodok infantry and Rhodok crossbowmen, you just line the shooters up outside and watch them clear the walls before the infantry get up there and clear everything else.

All Baron X people are my own vassals. I give out fiefs in fairly equal numbers to create a strong kingdom where the lords have a good amount of soldiers each but that's hardly possible because of the piece of shit fief system.

That is incredibly ridiculous. I've used TweakMB to edit those values so I wouldn't get such a laughably broken relations hit, but I still don't get why it's so extreme by default. I could understand it if you were unfair, but they hate you either way.

Well, seems reasonable in a feudal culture. The vassals would all the king and envy his power. The king holds power only through force or threat of force and the only thing stopping all of the vassals from working together against the king is that they all want to be king themselves.

Except that, y'know, they all have good reason to have personal loyalty towards you, what with them all either being uplifted commoners or disgraced nobles until they met you. At least if you're starting your own kingdom, that is.

In the screenshotted example, I see none of those sort on there. Seems they're all original nobles. Even so, personal loyalty only gets you so far, and it's hard to get a decent sized group of those types of vassals together without some of them being pissed at others (and thus being pissed at you for giving them resources)

As it turns out, hosting feasts gives you a point of relationship with everybody who attends per day they're there.

It explains why Harlaus is always hosting feasts even as a thousand Khergits are bearing down on my castle, but I still think he's the misbegotten son of a monkey and a spider for drawing away anyone who could help.
