Star Wars Conquest: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?topic=40510.0
*FANTASTIC* mod. Very easy to become overpowered as a Jedi/Sith, so only play this on the more difficult settings. On normal difficulty, I was easily able to win a 10 vs. 150 fight as a Jedi late in the game... would really recommend playing as a non-force user for balance issues.
Was this ever finished. Last I tried it they had Chewie as a Female...

Might be intended. They don't try too hard for canon.

Okay, so, today this girl I know-Lauren, just took a sudden dis-interest in talking to me. Is she just on her period or something?

I'm not sure I would call Conquest a fantastic mod, but it was pretty good, if filled with unfinished features. I seem to remember a spaceship combat that was just uncontrollable. 1866 on the other hand I must agree is a great mod. I really should get to playing that again some time.

Okay, I'm pretty big into Star Wars EU (I prefer most of the books to the prequels, and I think the Thrawn Trilogy is better than the original trilogy - sue me) so I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The lack of canon continuity is fine, it's not KotOR, it's just a fun game.

The battles have a really great atmosphere to them. Also, you can slaughter entire cities - which is especially fun if playing a dark Jedi. Hordes of unarmed/poorly armed civilians charging you, you slash through them with your lightsaber, weee...

So yeah, 1866 all around great mod, SW:Conquest if you're a Star Wars fan who doesn't flip out about a little canon inconsistency in a game.

Just got Warband, it's great, and I also got the mod, Freelancer.  Anyone know of any good mods out there for this that are singleplayer and not just new skins of everything?

Two Current bests

1: If you can handle broken English ((Modders are Swiss)) and Ancient English ((Actual Ancient British language used for units and town names)) then Brytenwalda is for you. You play in Early Britan back in the 6th Century...

2: If you can handle being butt rapped by giant Squads of DOOM coming down on you from every angle, and then taking the pleasure as you turn around later and slaughter them with ease. A Hard Hard game to get out of. And enjoy a world that is fully designed to a story and a great backworld. Prophesy of Pendor is great...

Even without knowledge of what that mod actually is, one might be able to assume it does not take place before the human species existed outside of Africa.
