Thanks, Magma.
@Cheeetar
Stopping a lynch just for the sake of surviving is self-preservation, which, in turn, is a scumtell. What's more, you were deadset on killing Toonyman on what you believe was an anti-town action and then perform another one yourself with the only explanation being that you didn't want to die.
And now you want me dead because I pushed on you.
No, I still don't like it, Cheeetar. You're showing signs of wanting to live at all costs.
Sidenote: Townies dislike dying at day one, but the hunt is ALL that they must deem important. If you're about to die, disrupting it will just cause more confusion and argument Day 2 while still robbing us of one of our chances to lynch. Instead, the BETTER option is to actually attack who you feel is scum, force the scum to leave scumtells, then allow the town to use your newly town-minted words to go after your target.
You claim you wanted to go after me, but you make no mention of it. As such, I doubt you thought at all about voting for me and just want your current vote to look better than an OMGUS.
No dice.
The following rebuttals are extremely unstructured. It was either this or put my answers in the actual quote, which would have looked worse.
Not stopping your own lynch isn't townie behaviour. It's stupid behaviour, especially when there are only two people voting for you in the first place.
Toony made what I believed to be an anti-town action which he didn't have to. I made an anti-town action to survive against just two votes in the hope of getting more time to post my suspicions, which I posted first thing this day.
I want you dead because you're scummy. I didn't vote for you initially when you pushed me. I voted for you later, when you had forgotten about me after an extremely brief push.
I was going to post who I believed to be scum (you), but I ran out of time. Even had I posted suspicions instead of a vote on Errol, I would not have been able to as I would not have had the time. I had about a minute to post. I went after you on the first post this day. You had forgotten about me earlier, and then I went after you. Your vote on me now is nothing but an OMGUS.
You say you would have posted your reasons. Surprise surprise, it's Day 2 and those reasons are nowhere to be found. You might have forgotten to post them in these circumstances, I grant you that. So, please, post your reasons for going for dakarian. Oh, wait, you already did that:
I don't like how he focused on me for about 2 posts, and then asked Errol for an opinion and forgot about me. I don't like how he's content to have suspicion on him, as long as it isn't a vote. I don't like how he was using meta that didn't apply (a doctor FOSed a lot, that means this guy who also FOS's is town).
That's weak. Really weak. No justification to stop a lynch.
For the record, you lurked the whole time from the FoS on me to the deadline. If you don't provide new information, he can't ask you new questions. Aside from that one weird post:
Provide reasons. I shouldn't have to tell you this.
You answer a question apparently directed at SirBayer. What is up with that?
For the record, here's the list of my reasons for voting you:
- Self-preservation. You blocked town's lynch at the last second without one word of a reasonable explanation so far.
- Being rather scizophrene in your relations with ToonyMan. Day 1, you attack him for firing in the crowd. Day 2, you seem to have forgotten about it. You don't mention him at all. In your last words about it, you are still thinking it's an anti-town action, and you apparently just moved away from it because you were pressured by Dakarian. So, why do you ignore him right now? He isn't a stellar example of townieness right now either.
In my book, what dakarian did isn't any more anti-town than your actions or Toonys actions. But, there's definitely something strange about him. His role appears to be centered around self-preservation.
