I'm portraying it as an anti-town action, because it is. You guys are acting like he has to activate it- He doesn't. His action will, in the best of circumstances, have a half chance of killing a townie. This was not the best of circumstances. He shouldn't have used it at all. Killing a random person because it might be scum is not good.

Same reason why it's scummy to attack someone just because they got a townie lynched.  It's a sign of just looking for something they did 'wrong' and not looking at 'if they were scum'. 

In the example: A person lynching a townie is wrong, but it's just as easy for a townie to do it as scum.  However, scum, pushing for a reason to 'go after someone' will use it more often than actual townies (who are very used to lynching other townies).

In this case, you demonstrated ideas on why Toony did a 'wrongful' thing, but you havn't demonstrated how he's not a "Townie making a move you find wrong" and is, in fact, "scum."

In another way.. Assume he WASN'T right for using his skill at that time.  Now WHY does that make him scum and not just a mistaken town?

I don't like how he randomly fired into the crowd in the hope of killing scum. I believe it is anti-town behaviour. I am also suspicious of Pandarsenic's defence in that 'it was to improve the credibility of his roleclaim', and that increased my perception of Toony as scum. I do not know why ToonyMan would do this if he were scum, but I do think it is anti-town. As I have no other reason to believe Toony is scum (Pandarsenic's defence could be a scum buddying), I'll unvote ToonyMan.
