I'll IN for the tournament.

Just need to design a deck that has at least a 20% chance to beat Virex first. If I give it a dwarfy enough name, I'll surely draw enough lands.

Edit: I now stand ready, Towerclimbs the Summit of Wheat at my side.

umm i have started playing magic and im quite a decent player.
I have a few questions about this cos it sounds really cool.

1. Is it free to play or do i need to pay for it like with magic online?
2. Can i just play whenever i feel or is it like mininum 1 a fornight for example?
3. If its free how exactly do i get started playing it?

1: Totally free.

2: No obligations necessarily, although if your in a tournament it would be nice for you to get your battle done sometime.

3: Just get Apprentice, it has a full library of what I believe to be every card in magic(besides stuff like those new planes cards). As for getting in on my tourny system, just tell me what color or two you want and I'll whip up  starter deck for you.

Best check the OP for most details, there is a download link + patch link.

it will be run on a non-scheduled basis. When two people have to battle, they can do so on their own terms. I just expect people to get it done eventually.

Erm, that's going to be a tough nut to crack for me. I've been on-line regularely for two weeks on EU-convenient times, but I havn't been able to get a game going. It's like people don't want to play...

Wow... I didn't think being lax about the game times was going to be a problem, at least not like that.

I might be able to see about getting convenient times for players on a match by match basis.

Im wondering how i go about playing.

So far i downloaded and installed the full apprentice. Then i copied all the worldwake patch files into my apprentice directory.
Now also is there an easier way to get the random deck i was sent into apprentice other than searching for each card in the list and adding it???
Then how do i get playing?  ;D
