Sorry to say, but I'm not going to use Hamachi since I don't agree with the terms. So you can probably remove me from the list. Why doesn't Apprentice's built in system work?

Imagine a cool peice of sky-blue and milk-white marble about 3cm by 2cm and by 0.5cm, containing a tiny 2mm malacolite crystal. Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch. Then, imagine that those miles will melt back into their mantle long before any telescope even refracts an image of their planet. The watchers will be so excited to have that image too.

It does, but if you have routers involved or give someone the wrong IP (hint: you may be giving your internal IP) it will likely not work, hamachi helps when you've got routers.

By the way, what terms don't you agree with?

Its mostly because sticking to hamachi when MWS is out and fully updated, is the same as sticking with Windows 95 when you could get windows XP sp3 for free. And thats the most fitting analogy I ever made, apprendice isn't even updated anymore.

But if you really don't mind grappling with apprendice's shortcomings and hamachi security issues at the same time, then have fun  :)

I'll have a look at firemox, which is supposedly awesome and haves its own bot to quickly test decks against, and the only feature it lacks is card pictures.

I don't trust contracts that say that can alter the program or contract at any time without my knowledge, even though that covers a lot. There are two exceptions I've made, but this wont be one of them.
I don't think I'll have any router problems, can I at least try without Hamachi?

Its probably safer and less cumbersome if you just try it without hamachi. Hamachi really gets your network a bit more open since your nomaly have to turn your firewall off for it to even work, and anything that affects the IP you're connected to can easily affect yours.

You can set Hamachi as an exception to your firewall. Then again, if you're fiddling with a firewall like that, you might as well have just forwarded your ports to begin with.

Go ahead and try without Hamachi, but Hamachi is 100% reliable in doing what it says it will do and is fairly safe as long as you close it when you don't need it.

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

Alright, I think I finally have Hamachi configured, but I can't get the GUI working, so no chat. Anyone willing to let me try to connect with Apprentice?

Edit: No, wait, pings failing. Time for poking things until the pings work.
Edit edit: There, the pings work. I think it's configured now.
Edit edit edit: No, just the pings to Taco-Dan.

It will only ping for someone if they are using the client, your hamachi is working.

There, got the GUI working. I'd forgotten about Hamachi remembering people who aren't connected to it, and the names were all there in the terminal. Now, let us never speak of that again.

Please?

The only big things are the the new card frame, enchantment - aura, the new blocking rules, combat damage not using the stack, and mythic rares. You probably should also learn about equipments and the newest keywords Wizards of the Coast likes to use a lot. Deathtouch, indestructible, reach, intimidate, and double strike.

And landfall, a good chunk of zendikar bases itself around it.

I wasn't going to go through block keywords since those always have reminder text
