Okay, it's done. Anyone wants a "friendly" game (for points, not for the tourney) so I can test out my deck?
I would, but I don't have a deck yet.

Oh yeah, I'm not sure I'll be able to get that deck generator I was programming to work. My professor might have a better idea, but the format on all the webpages that can generate random cards is hard for python to access: I can get the html that generates the random card, but without their database it won't actually do anything.

Could you use the apprentice library?

You know, ever since I learned of cards that can make tokens, I've been wanting to build a deck that could be considered a "Token Factory". I just don't know what I would put in it.

Cards that generate tokens, and cards that buff all your creatures at once, throw in a few cards to keep yourself alive early and stop unblockables later...

I might be interested in a friendly game, but I have yet to get into the Hamachi group...

Hmm... maybe, that's a good idea. I'll check it out.

Check out Ravnica. One of the subthemes was token-making.

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

I think I remember a deck centered around thallids. They produce saproling tokens which the deck then turned into thallids, which create more saprolings, etc etc.

Well, that looks promising, but I need to figure out what format the cardinfo.dat file is in. Right now there are gibberish symbols messing up the format.

Edit: Wait, there's already a deck/booster generator in apprentice. I'm not sure if it uses the same formula to make them as real ones though. Not that it matters to me, I want to make this program for practice anyway.

Token decks? Heheh, lets see wolf token deck with elves, saporlings, if you can get creatures like creakwood liege that pump out a multicolored token and power them up, smack a coat of arms on any deck thats dominatly one creature type.

Tokens, eh? Elves or thallids might be good.

Small list of thallids: http://magiccards.info/query?q=t%3A%22fungus%22&v=card&s=cname

There are many elves out there which produce tokens, for example Elven Promenade or Impervious perfect..

And Doubling Season is always fun. :D

If you want to search for thallid-fungus-action; You should look into the Time Spiral Block. Good elves you can find in the lorwyn block and in Ravnica the City of guilds you might find green/white token action.

Oh, and throw in something that requires massive amounts of creature sacrificing, just for the fun of it!

tap for damage to opponent creatures work great with soul foundry, after a few turns you can do upwards of 5 damage per turn, or just kill off all his creatures :D
