Reasons why adventure mode is awesome.

You can wrestle a grizzly bear on the ground, gouge it's eyes out, then throw a rock so hard, that it crushes it's upper body.

You can kill an Elven Druid by throwing the blood of his people at him.

The spinning vomit strikes the wolf in the lower body.
It explodes in gore!
The wolf is propelled away by the force of the blow!
The wolf has been struck down.

The spinning sand hits the upper body.
It collapses in a lump of gore.
The giant has been struck down...

Ooooor...

The spinning hammer hits the head.
It is mangled.
The right eye is torn out
The left eye is torn out
The right ear is torn out(?)
The left ear is torn out (?)
The nose is torn out (?)
The brain is mangled

The human priest gives into pain.
Then running away laughing at the now faceless, mentally retarded priest.

I made an adventurer and set off to slaughter elves. I don't train my guys up, so they're not godlike warriors or anything.

Started off killing swarms of children. Somewhere in the middle, my human axewoman gets into a scuffle with a guard and a swordself (and 4-5 kids). There is a LOT of text rolling on. I see a "The swordself stabs sat you with his pine long sword..." and soon after notice that my addy is bleeding.

Through sheer luck, I managed to hack the swordself's leg enough to stop him from pursuing. I retreat, {T}ravel. Checked my inventory and noticed a "human blood covering: Pine Long sword"

My adventurer had taken it from the site. It was stuck in her head.

Managed to have a pretty good career with three feet of pine permanently lodged in her brain.

Agree, plus that's about the LAST thing *I* want to see from this kind of game - author spending valuable development time on useless graphics.

I once had a rather epic battle after a bug messed up the loyalties of my hired help. Out of seven, four of them became hostile, three of them were still loyal, and the town I had retired in was now divided. I could only hear this blacksmith beating the living daylights out of his neighbour, the chef, and his neighbour's kid.

Well I was throwing coins at a towns legendary dwarf and when he was one tile away this happened.
The spinning gold coin hits human in the head.
It is smashed into the body, an unrecognizable mass.
The human bleeds to death.
Threw his axe and chopped someone's head off then beat about 20 children with it and coins in the meeting place.

Taking every ring you can find and going on a long quest to a terrifying haunted volcano and throwing them in.

Ripping the limbs off a GCS blinded by well-flung vomit and beating it to death with them.

Building small forts all across the land to sap the towns of existing civilizations, undermining all their buildings and propping them up with columns linked to levers in an observation tower. Pulling the levers one by one and watching priests, guards, nobles, shops, and so on either collapse or fill with magma/water.

Thinking to yourself... "WORM SIGN!" as the carefully laid sequential collapse of sections of land create a rift across the world.
