managed to distract my self from stalker for a proper game of this
played an hour, colonised a third of the galaxy, havnt found any of my opponents yet, which i find supprising.
Either:
they havent colonised particullarly quickly, which supprises me because im only on my first play through and not uber efficient.
they are in other galaxies. I didnt think the other galaxies were anything more than backdrop until i accidently zoomed on one. I cant see any stars or interact but perhaps that changes
they are just beyond the borders of my space and the areas ive explored.
i havnt had any conflict yet, but this game seems to be quite fast, ive got a fair bit of tech so my ships move between systems quickly, also i could potentially build a massive fleet. im not aware of there being any caps on fleet building are there any? e.g. do you pay maintainence resources. So im wondering whether i should build a massive fleet. I control about 30 stars, each with 2-6 planets average 3or4. Each can churn outa capital shp in less than a minute. So i could have several thousand ships in no time.
So my question is how big are the battles, are they sort of 1000 vs 1000 scale? in most other space stratgies even the real time ones, its usually i the tens or hundreds.
also do built ships auto refit? Some of the ships i built are now quite old and ive got a lot of new tech. Will they just be old and lame?
theres alot of extra stuff to put in ships now, and ive just realised you can make a hull the size of a sun...
