tried the demo, its pretty cool. Does anyone know if the developers are still working on it?
As far as I can tell, the Dev is also a Bay12er...

Howdy, I'm Firgof Umbra; I'm one of the developers working at Blind Mind Studios to produce the game.  I'm in charge of directing the game's Quality Assurance, Marketing, and Graphics with my boss, ThyReaper.

We are flattered by the attention here and I'll stick around and answer questions as I can.  We're about to put up several large updates media-wise.  Also, I'll put up some fresh screenshots later today because most of the pictures in the first post are old (there's even one from back in April 2009 in there! :P)

Let's start off by answering some questions some of you have had.

The game is not out yet; we are still more than four months from the retail version of the game and still have plenty of things left to do in our base game before we reach that point.  There is a closed beta if you wanted to apply and we may start accepting Preorders if there is a demand for them. :)
We may also try and work out some sort of Demo for the game if there is demand for that as well.

The game is an RTS/4X hybrid which will have online multiplayer and is deeply modable; things that we often miss when we play other 4X games.  To describe the gameplay I would say blending Space Empires with Galactic Civilizations and Supreme Commander should get you a fair idea of what you might expect from our game.

Yep.  We've put out 14 patches since release so far and are about to put out patch 15 along with a new demo. :)

Cool. I'll probably be purchasing the full game some time in the next few days...

I have some questions about multiplayer gameplay:
Is it handled any differently than single player in terms of diplomacy, etc.?
Is there some sort of lobby function, or just direct connections?

They probably track where the traffic comes from, and I'm sure a lot of people are directed there from here. I know I was.

Yep, I get e-mail notifications set to instant.  It's part of how I manage all my PR stuff. :)

No lobby yet.  We're working on it, you can do direct connection, LAN, and server-browsing through the master server.

Diplomacy is not handled differently though I am totally revising the screen to make things a lot more obvious and more manipulative there.

A mac port is possible but, firstly and most importantly, we do not have a mac between us.  Second, we want the game running as best it can and with as many features as it can support on Windows before we start porting it over to Mac.  Maintaining two different games due to running on two different platforms (one which we've only rudimentary experience with) is just a bit much for Reaper and Lucas to handle at the moment.

Keep vigilant, and keep asking and if we have time, one day, we'll see about getting that done.  It's not a promise but we are listening.

Intel Macs support Windows. No rush there.
