Can't Die
« on: February 02, 2010, 07:39:59 pm »

I'm stuck in a human town full of archers with a size 9000 dwarf that apparently does't bleed to deathg even though he is missing a eye and throat, his right lung and hurt is red and his neck and 3 fingers are slightly bruised. How do I stop the bleeding or do I just gotta rampage through town till I die?

If he's missing a throat, you can't heal.  Find some lava, it may cauterize the wound.  Hah, just kidding, you will die, but, at least, you'll be free of your torment.

Well I'm gonna take this town down with me, but it akward for a 9000 size anything to not heal at all or to have enough blood to coat an entire human town either.

Awkward? That sounds like win.

Well I've seen it go from night to day to night and he still hasn't bleed to death and I can't find the last humans.  :(

Edit: I suffocated right after killing the last human. I'm gonna start a fortress and engrave everything.

Or, if you get your Damblock up high enough, you can survive your throat getting torn out. What fun it was to beat a demon to death with a goblin child after losing it.

Why? As far as I know, a damblock is simply substracted from a value of an attack, it has nothing to do with survivability. Only a high toughness may help here (I think you know that there's a "blood pool", like HP, which is lowered when you're bleeding each turn; maybe toughness increases this "blood pool", but I don't know for sure).

Well I remember shooting the Damblock up on dwarves once and ended up getting my throat torn out by a giant scorpion. I might've added some other tags, but I really don't remember.

Eh. Eh.

I'm pretty sure you can mod out the throat then go back into the game and that stops the bleeding, then just add it back in later
