Roles:
1 Vector -
*Machinator//Infiltrator (Mafia) Inquisitor//Analyzer
*Victory*Vector, you are the cybrid Machinator//Infiltrator.
Your stealth//cover has been compromised- the human//animals have discovered the remains of your partner unit. Your next action is to modify//improve your previous plan, and quickly convert//eliminate//destroy the remaining human//animals, and proceed//continue//advance until the will of the NEXT has satisfied.
You have a stock of three cybrid brains - With a nights worth of effort, you can convert one of the innefficient human//animals into a cybrid Trojan horse. Unfortunately, your partner was the one who held the supplies and data labels - you do not know which personalities are available. Regardless, you are sure they are all loyal soldiers of the NEXT - those rumours of Metagen traitors are clearly false. Still, it would be best to keep an eye on the behaviour of converted units, and deal with any issues before they advance too far.
Actions
Conversion - Once per night, you may target one of the human//animals in an attempt to replace their brain with one of your stock brains. You have 3 brains - if you are blocked or the conversion otherwise fails, the target is not converted but none of your brains are used up either.
Note that these brains are shared among the cybrid - if you are eliminated, but a Redactor unit manages to activate another Machinator, that Machinator will be able to install any brains that were not already used.
Vector, you are now a cybrid Inquisitor//Analyzer
You are an Inquisitor//Analyzer, and you specialize in discovering all there is to know about the human//animals. You have studied them all your life, mastered reading their very breath to determine what is happening in their head. Of course, you've also got an array of bugs, cameras, software, and entry tools to aid you should that not be enough.
Actions
Inquire//Analyze//Discover//Reveal - Once per night, you may choose a target. You learn their name, abilities, and allegiances. This ability does not work against other cybrid.
You are a Cybrid. You win when it is no longer possible for the human//animals to win. In addition, any non-metagen Cybrid successfully escaping the station results in a cybrid victory.
2. Mr. Person -
*The Overseer (Imperial) Inquisitor//Analyzer
*Victory in Death*Mr. Person, you are the Imperial Overseer.
A cybrid Trojan Horse. In your mine. The bastards.
Well, you've got a job to do, and you know what needs to be done. The Cybrid needs to be eliminated at all costs - by no means can this threat be allowed to extend beyond this outpost. As such, the first thing you are going to do is officially announce lockdown. Not that anyone is likely to be going anywhere with the sand storm and the sabotage...
It's up to you whether or not you mention to the others that the comm unit is being blocked by the storm, that the ships and mechs have been sabotaged, and as such that even were the mine NOT on lockdown, there would still be no way out.
To make matters worse, one of your offices has explained that one of the deceased was a member of the martian rebellion, and the bastards are sure to risk the safety of thousands for any chance of gaining control of this crappy little outpost. You don't have to kill them or anything - just make sure your loyalists outnumber the rebels when the cybrid threat is eliminated. For now, they are a gnat and can mostly be ignored - but any sign of weakness, and many of the miners might turn. Best to deal with them quickly if they start to agitate.
Luckily, you mostly stick to your office - the regulars don't know your recent transfer was as overseer, and they think you were just another miner. As such, you can mingle freely, without them knowing the voice that blares over the loudspeakers is none other than your own.
Abilities
Knowledge - You know you have at least two loyal officers - Investigator Rysith and Interrogator MagmaDeath. They don't know your true identity, but they arrived with you and you are sure that they have not (yet) been compromised by the cybrid or rebel threats.
Loudspeaker - You know the name and password to access the loudspeaker, allowing you to send orders and commands to the people. Log into the Forum and post as "The Overseer" using the password "harabec", the name of one of the greatest Imperial Knights.
Loyal - You may not be converted by the Rebel persuader.
Actions
Review - Each night, you can review the reports from your officers. You can see their targets, and the results of their actions, unless you have been roleblocked, or otherwise prevented from performing your duties, or for some reason they have not filed a report. This is automatic, but it helps if you send the host a PM to remind him.
You are an Imperial. You win if all cybrids are eliminated - but only if Imperial forces outnumber Rebel forces.
Mr. Person, you are now a cybrid Inquisitor//Analyzer
Your are now a cybrid - and the human//animals are on the lookout for your kind. The previous plan has been changed, and you must now convert//eliminate//destroy the remaining human//animals before your existence is revealed to the world at large, and proceed//continue//advance until the will of the NEXT has satisfied.
3. Rysith -
Investigator (Imperial) Redactor//Reprogrammer
*Victory in Death*Rysith, you are the Imperial Investigator.
This is not good... not good at all. You should have found some evidence... you should have seen it coming. But there's nothing to be done now but move on. For the good of the empire, you must uncover the cybrid threat and eliminate it.
You are a loyal officer of the Empire. The Overseer, though his identity is hidden to you, knows your name and can review the reports you submit to him of your actions.
Actions
Search - Once per night, you may search a target player's room for incriminating evidence. Your not sure what you will find, but should there be anything interesting you will likely glean some sort of information from it. You may learn the role and abilities of some players.
Report - Each night, you may choose to pass your Search results to the overseer. This is assumed to be your default action. If you wish to hide your action and results, include "Do not report" when you conduct the search.
You are an Imperial. You win if all cybrids are eliminated - but only if Imperial forces outnumber Rebel forces.
Rysith, you are now a cybrid Redactor//Reprogrammer.
Your are now a cybrid - and the human//animals are on the lookout for your kind. The previous plan has been changed, and you must now convert//eliminate//destroy the remaining human//animals before your existence is revealed to the world at large, and proceed//continue//advance until the will of the NEXT has satisfied.
Your specialty is altering the programming of your allies, making tweaks and personality overhauls that will increase your chances of victory. If you must, you have software that you can run on yourself to do the same.
Actions
Format//Install - Once per night, you may change the role and personality of another cybrid. The results are random. The following options are possible:
*Dissenter//Demoralizer
*Hunter//Killer
*Redactor//Reprogrammer
*Machinator//Infiltrator
*Traitor//Metagen (You don't want this one)
You are a Cybrid. You win when it is no longer possible for the human//animals to win. In addition, any non-metagen Cybrid successfully escaping the station results in a cybrid victory.
New Message
4. MagmaDeath - Interrogator (Imperial)
MagmaDeath, you are the Imperial Interrogator.
This is not good... not good at all. This cybrid mess is the perfect opportunity for the rebels to stage a hostile take over... and all the evidence you've been able to gather indicates they are planning just that. Luckily, you're a smart guy. A little bit of effort, and you're sure you'll be able to figure out who's still loyal... and who's a threat. You'll have to lay low for the moment - you don't want to be on the receiving end of a lynch mob, so you'll have to forgo the more... fun... aspects of your job until both threats have been adequately dealt with, and instead rely on your ability to build an accurate profile. Once this is over, though, you hope at least one of the rebels is till alive, because you plan on making him spill everything he knows...
Unfortunately, you've got no experience with Cybrids, so your abilities are less useful in uncovering that brand of traitor.
You are a loyal officer of the Empire. The Overseer, though his identity is hidden to you, knows your name and can review the reports you submit to him of your actions.
Actions
Profile - Once per night, you may review a players words and actions and accurately determine their allegiance as of the end of the most recent day.
Report - Each night, you may choose to pass your Search results to the overseer. This is assumed to be your default action. If you wish to hide your action and results, include "Do not report" when you profile a player.
You are an Imperial. You win if all cybrids are eliminated - but only if Imperial forces outnumber Rebel forces.
5. Webadict - *Healthy Doctor (Imperial)
Webadict, you are a Healthy Imperial Doctor.
So much death. So much pain... and there is sure to be more soon enough. The Overseer won't mess around, what with the rebels and the cybrids. The best you can do is whatever you can to protect those you can save, and make sure those who must go, go peacefully.
Additionally, your medical know-how will allow to treat yourself to a certain extent.
Abilities
Healthy - You have a one shot immunity to kill actions.
Actions
Protect - Once per night, you may protect another player of your choice. Attempts to kill this player are foiled.
You are an Imperial. You win if all cybrids are eliminated - but only if Imperial forces outnumber Rebel forces.
6. Dakarian - *Weak Pilot (Imperial)
*Victory*Dakarian, you are a Weak Imperial Pilot.
Damn, this isn't a good situation. You've never been much of a fighter - you love to fly, but there's a reason your stuck in this god forsaken mining outpost instead of serving in the proper Imperial Airforce. You came down with a nasty disease a couple years back, and things just haven't been going well. There's treatment, but its expensive - you've been able to afford enough to keep yourself alive, but it aint been keeping you healthy.
Worse, someone broke into your transport and really trashed the place. Even if the dust storm were to lift, you wouldn't be able to get if off the ground. If you could get ToonyMan, your mechanic, to fix the things, though, and find a willing co-captain to help you man the ship, why... you could be gone before the overseer knew what happened.
You may be a loyal member of the imperial forces here on mars... but you aint no idiot. Cybrids are dangerous, and if things aren't looking good, hightailing it out of here might be your best bet. Still, the best option all around is if the damned cybrids are eliminated as quick as possible.
Actions
Abscond - Once your plane has been repaired, if the dust storm has ended, you may name another player and attempt to abscond. They are informed of your offer, and who it was by, and have the option of accepting or turning it down. If they accept, you both have a chance to escape and win. The Overseer probably doesn't want you to leave, though... and if you leave with a cybrid, you might be as good as dead.
You are an Imperial. You win if all cybrids are eliminated - but only if Imperial forces outnumber Rebel forces.
7. Archangel -
*Guard (Imperial) Cybrid Metagen
Archangel, you are an Imperial Guard.Cybrids and rebels... well, regardless of all the commotion, you know what your job is. Protecting people. Or intimidating them into submission. Same thing. You are not exactly subtle about your actions, but hey - you're not a very subtle guy. You work for whoever is in charge, you get by, and if you get to exert a little power.. err, protection, you mean, over those less capable than yourself, so be it.
ActionsGuard - You may target a player to both roleblock AND protect from all actions. This is a public ability - you must declare it publicly in the thread, and it takes effect immediately. Use the command
Guard [player name] in bold and on its own line. This effect lasts indefinitely - to change the target, use the command [/b]Unguard
and then Guard [new target] as if voting. Note that you cannot change targets during the night, the time when most actions occur, so make sure you are on your desired target ere nightfall.
You are an Imperial. You win if all cybrids are eliminated - but only if Imperial forces outnumber Rebel forces.
Archangel, you are a Cybrid Metagen (Inquisitor//Analyzer)
You've finally gotten out from under the direct control of prometheus - the humans will not welcome you, you know that much, but the cybrids of the NEXT would have surely destroyed you if you had waited. Now you must make sure all the loyal cybrids in the area are offlined, and that the humans do not suspect another exists, or trust you enough not to reveal your existance. Barring that possibility, you could help the cybrids themselves eliminate the remaining humans without suspecting you, which will give you a chance to escape this isolated outpost and dissapear into the masses.
Your biggest threat is if the cybrids have a reprogrammer - he will certainly discover your nature should he operate on you, and redactors are NOT forgiving - if he tried to work on you, you are dead.
You have stolen enough information that you can pretend to be an Inquisitor//Analyzer:
[/b]Archangel, you are now a cybrid Inquisitor//Analyzer[/b]
Your are now a cybrid - and the human//animals are on the lookout for your kind. The previous plan has been changed, and you must now convert//eliminate//destroy the remaining human//animals before your existence is revealed to the world at large, and proceed//continue//advance until the will of the NEXT has satisfied.
You can't actually do any of that, but you can certainly lie about it. Or perhaps you could pretend to be something else - it depends on what the situation warrants.
You are a Survivor. You win if the game ends and you are still alive. 8. Mephansteras #2
Apostolistic Nihilist -Organizer(Rebel) -
Apostolic Nihilist, you are the Rebel Organizer. This is it... your chance to strike out against the oppressors. Now is the time to gather the oppressed and seize control of the facility. The Cybrids, of course, must be dealt with as well, but first... first the Imperials must be weakened. you've managed to secure some heavy crypto and a comm channel, and have begun making notes and stringing things together. Now you must find those sympathetic to the cause, and unify before the Imperials or Cybrids destroy you.
AbilitiesRebel Chat -
http://www.quicktopic.com/43/H/wM9632D6AvRIf any rebel targets you with an action, you learn their name and the fact that they are a rebel.
ActionsInvite - You may invite other players to join the Rebel communications network. Simply PM the host, and he will send the link along.
You are a Rebel. You win if all cybrids are eliminated - but only if Rebel forces outnumber Imperial forces. 9. Mephensteras -Fanatic Persuader (Rebel) -
Mephensteras, you are the Fanatic Rebel Persuader.
This is it... your chance to strike out against the oppressors. Now is the time to seek out oppressed and turn them to your cause. The Cybrids, of course, must be dealt with as well, but first... first the Imperials must be weakened. You've always had a way with words, and now you'll get the opportunity to see how many you can convince to follow you. You must find those sympathetic to the cause, and unify before the Imperials or Cybrids destroy you.
And if worse comes to worse, you are prepared to do what you must to succeed...
Actions
Persuade- Once per night, has the ability to offer membership in the Rebellion to another player. You must PM the host with the desired target, and the offer (along with any argument) will be passed on. You does not know if you succeed or fail. This is considered an automatic failure against some targets, however, such as the Overseer.
Explode- Once per day or night, you may use your bomb. You and target player are killed as soon as I proccess the PM.
You are a Rebel. You win if all cybrids are eliminated - but only if Rebel forces outnumber Imperial forces.
10. Leafsnail - Informant (Rebel) -
Leafsnail, you are the Rebel Informant.
This is it... your chance to strike out against the oppressors. Now is the time to seek out the the imperial loyalists and the rebel sympathizers - and you have a knack for discovering who is who. For now, you are merely acting as a lone agent however... it is important that you quickly discover the Organizer so you can share your discoveries.
Actions
Spy - Once per night, you may investigate the sympathies of another player, which will be either Rebel or Imperial.
You are a Rebel. You win if all cybrids are eliminated - but only if Rebel forces outnumber Imperial forces.
11. ToonyMan - *Technician Mechanic(Rebel)
*Victory*Toonyman, you are the Rebel Technician and the Mine Mechanic.
You're sick of these Imperial oppressors, but there's not a whole lot you can do about them. There is something you can NOT do, and thats make the next couple of days a cakewalk for them... you've got the most technical know-how in the outpost, and you're pretty sure you can rig up a device to detect the cybrids. Still, it would be a hack job - they'd be one off sensors, and you could probably only crank out one per night. But you might want to wait until the 'brids knock the overseer a little unsteady on his perch first...
In other news, Dakarian has also been complaining lately that someone messed up his plane - If you feel so inclined, you can eventually fix that.
Actions
Repair - Once per night, you may repair a broken object you know about. If you do, you may not use "Test" on the next day.
Test - Once per day, you may conduct a public inspection against a target by using the command Test [player name] command on its own line. This will reveal if the target is a Cybrid or a Human.
You are a Rebel. You win if all cybrids are eliminated - but only if Rebel forces outnumber Imperial forces.
