I learn two roles and the people who have them after the day, because the book appears to be uncannily accurate. I got Solifuge and Leafsnail. Solifuge is the Ghost/Poltergeist/Spook/Spirit/Tormented Soul/Ghoul, which he has not claimed. Leafsnail is... The Shusher.

I don't even know where to begin saying what's wrong with this claim.

Leafy, it's rather simple. If you WERE ascetic, I believe it wouldn't have mattered. I learn of two role names and who has them. I don't learn a person's role name. It's a subtle difference, but basically I learn about the role, not the person.

It actually makes sense, since we were Shushed yesterday, and lynching Leafsnail now removes him from play, so we can't be Shushed tomorrow.

Thinking Web suspect with his demand for a roleclaim, I was going with Panda's "claim something fake" tactic and came up with something random that seemed implausable to me (I could pull up the relevant posts in which I implied that I was fake-claiming, if they went unnoticed). By the time Webadict claimed, and with the extremely twitchy lynching environment, I felt it was too risky to reveal that I had fake-claimed, and figured that it would be easier to spin my fake-claim as my actual role, and avoid making myself the next lynch candidate. My power is the same: I scare someone away as a night action, once per game. With a power that approximates a night-kill, I was quite worried about misinterpretation of my intentions as scumish.

Anyway, since Redwarrior claimed my role to be correct, I'm taking that as a legit claim. Leafsnail's response has outed his nature to me as well.

Think about why Leafsnail is scummy, and it makes an incredible amount of sense.

Anybody scum. Org protects target, Jim blocks Leafy n1

My analysis. Two ways for nokill: the block and the protect.

And solifuge appears to have claimed OSV either way, so (s)he just lied in name.

This is all so incredibly scummy... it hurts. I was tempted to think RedWarrior was lying, but I simply can't ignore this kind of bullshit. You lied to save your own ass, you lied to avoid suspiscion, and you lied about meaning to lie. You're just trying to spin bullshit out of your ass. I have done a complete 360 on you. You're either scum or such a stupid townie that you deserve to lose. Either way, Unvote Leafsnail, vote Solifuge.

Well, the thing is we know it more or less HAS to, at this point, be some combination of Leafsnail, Solifuge, and RedWarrior0.

The problem is just figuring out which one.

I never intended for the fake-claim to be a lie, and I only shared the truth about my role because I didn't want RedWarrior0 to be lynched for "lying" when he's telling the truth. If I were scum, I'd have stayed low, and joined Leafsnail in incriminating RedWarrior0. And I'm only "saving my own ass" so far as it keeps town 1 up on scum.

My vote remains with Leafsnail, as it has for a while now.

The same situation applies to Leafsnail, with Leafsnail being already in the deep end.

Look back:
Leafsnail is blocked on Night 1. No Kill. Everyone is Shushed on Day 2. Jim Groovester votes/FoS's Leafsnail ridiculously much, meaning he knows something. Leafsnail knows this and has him killed the next Night. Leafsnail lies about his role, too.

Solifuge simply has a lie about his role name, where as Leafsnail lied about his role AND role name. Besides, George Lucas can't possibly be the best writer ever.
