Pretty much, lying requires knowledge of the truth. If i don't know what the truth is, i can't lie about it.

Sort of, i cannot answer "I don't know" because that is telling the truth, but since i don't know the real answer my answers aren't actually of any use. Instead i have to lie about my hunches, so if i think somone is scum, i have to say i think he is town.

Rather than go through all the others, i'll just say that at the moment i believe everyone except Org and dakarian to be scum. Org is almost certainly town, dakarian might be town, it's easy to tell.

As that is not a direct question, i may answer truthfully, and you are correct. As my statements were in response to Cheeetar's questions, which were direct questions, i was forced to lie while answering them.

Eduren says i'm on an honour system, since he ovbiously can't know what i suspect someone's alignment to be. Although ovbiously if i were to say "Org is scum" in response to Cheeetar's question and then we lynch Org and he flips scum and i go "See! I told you so!" or he flips town and i go "Damn i was wrong" then that would be pretty ovbious.


It's not a huge restriction and with it out in the open it's not much of a problem, just remember that if you ask me a direct question i must lie, i cannot tell the truth. If you would merely like me to tell you something, well, that's not a direct question
