With a faint smile, I put down the letter. Would I agree and move to the lower forums to teach some science and some dicipline? Of course I would. After 8 months of unemployment, not only financial resources were getting drained, but also boredom had kicked in. Live simply was not the same without some punks to dicipline.
April 20th
"General Discussion". The hellhole of the lower forums. Directly placed between "creative projects", the district not only with the darkest parks, but also the highest unemployment rate, and "live advice" a district for the helpless and elderly, "general discussion" was a perfect place for a slum.
The politicians and brokers now officialy call it "general discussion". Sounds nicer. Sells better. A skelleton of a police body had partially enstored law and order on the streets, but the mentality of the gangs, born and raised in "various nonsense", a small island 20 miles off the coast, stayed the same.
The island was evacuated in 2009. "Toxic waste" they wrote in the papers. Well, might be a possible explanation as to why the ex-denizens all act like serious psychos.
The gates of bay12 high were overly riddled with various grafitties, and strangely enough, traces of explosions. As I breath in the thick smell of the younger classes hiding fish behind the radiators, and the older punks smoking what was certainly not just 100% tabacco, I immediatly felt at home. Afterall, it has only been few years since I graduated from exactly this school.
Time to put some order into this place. Not long until I spotted the first target. A small group of youngsters were openly smoking in the hallways. Tst, back in the day they at least hid in the restrooms, and had a lookout to warn them.
The group had styled their uniform with yellow, black and red patches. Gang colors.
As I approached the group one of them, wearing some sort of nursery hat, threw one of her smokes on the ground. Not even stepping it out, just plain on the ground. Time for some action.
"Hey, you might start a fire like that, you know?"
"Do I look like I care?"
Slowly, I go down and pick up the still burning bud.
"Well, you know, fire can burn pretty badly if it gets into the wrong places."
With a quick flick of my middlefinger, I tossed the burning bud right into the punks eye.
"Such as eyeballs."
A loud scream of pain and various threats and curses followed me down the hallway, into my new office.
I had no classes scheduled today, so it was time to pick out some troublemakers. One by one.
Idly I flicked through my files, picking out one of the worst cases by random.
"Hmm, there we go...Janet Sofia Sniperjoe...various cases of violence...notorious skipper...That will do for the start."
I turned on the switch fo my speakers, and announced through the echoing halls of the building:
"Janet Sniperjoe, to Prof.Akroma's office. I repeat, Janet Sniperjoe please to prof.Akroma's office."
