Satisfied with his spider for the time being, Helmaroc turns to his goblins. He gives them knowledge of a more civil society. He tells them of a settlement they are to build and how they will increase in number. The settlement will be called Snarecrevice, and it will be designed to occupy an entire mountain.

Helmaroc commands his goblins to build a settlement called Snarecrevice, one that will (hopefully) eventually fill a mountain.

Kaluri sees that which the goblins do, and she creates metals within the rocks as best she can, focusing around her creations,  forming a few tools from rough copper as best she can, due to the stretching of her powers, and instructs her Shaluri to grow in number, for there are dangers.

Kaluri creates metals within the world of venom's stones and soils, of carrying strength and ease of use. copper being one of the most easy to use. She also tries to form rough tools from the softest metal she created for her Shaluri.

This is Dwarf Fortress! If we can chuck magma at innocent wildlife, we can do ANYTHING!

It was at this point that I realised that dwarves are actually the essence of chaos. What else can make perpetual motion machines, recursive statues with more building materials than the average tower and has such a short attention span that a damn fine chair can off-set the death of their entire family.

Rivesand. He created tools and metal in one act.

Just out of curiosity, what DOES Dwarf Fortress smell like?
Death, Booze, and Insanity.
Ladders are absolutely essential for one reason and one reason only:

Welcome, friends to Slaves to Armok III: Snakes and Ladders.

Kaluri cringes as she feels the displeasure of Armok, not looking forward to seeing the results of the wrath, but there was nothing she could do at this point, so she awaits for what happens.

Ortol watches the race with interest, mostly ignoring Faden's pecking.

"Poor worm. Already starting to sizzle. Assuming it survives, the very first thing I'll do is to give it aid. Not before, though. That would be cheating."

Ortol snuck around the other side of the tree, quick as a flash, and pushed his thumb into the earth, leaving a tiny hole in the stone. From that hole sprung a clear stream of pure water, which formed into a pool beneath the tree. Although it was hidden beyond the toxic, sap-soaked roots, the spring itself was not one of death, but of life. All that could survive the journey there might drink of the water and be healed greatly.

Ortol places a healing spring in the space beside the Feather Tree.

"Young Spider sure is taking his time climbing. Maybe if he had some rope..."

Faden held on tightly as Ortol moved to create a healing spring. Having so little compassion for others, especially her Abomination, she found herself unable to discern the motive behind the great Feather Tree God's actions, and said as much. However, even her undersized sense of empathy caused her to shudder in dread of Kaluri's fate.

And Helmaroc acts, favoring his goblins for a time, telling their leader to build a great city and explaining to him the civil life. The goblin goes, his tribe following, to the mountains, to build the city great.

And Ortol moves, acting , creating a large spring of life near the tree. It forms beneath the tree as well, around it.

The Race:
Helmaroc's Champion reaches the tree and jumps to it's side, but soon after, his powerful legs puncture a wound in the tree, causing the sap to burn his leg. It is pained, but he moves on, slower though.

Faden's Abomination:The abomination reaches the bottom of the tree, however pauses in the water. It seems to move around his body, fixing and amending the mistakes. He becomes the vision of Faden, now no longer the abomination it was. It begins to speed across the tree, nearing the other.

State of Creatures
Goblins:Now eleven strong, the Goblins have followed Gr'ruth to the location of the mountain home. Snarecrevice, Gr'ruth called it, and here will be their home. Ga'ghan, or the Wise One, has begun the exploration of the nearby, gathering plants of any kind.

Shaluri-These beasts have grown fat with their slaughter, and have now taken residence of the southern mountains of the Venom Planet.

Giant Muskox-The Giant Muskox roam the Black Rock Planet ever still. They have created a small valley with their roaming and rampantness, and have killed a fair number of the deer.

Six-Legged Deer-These have breed even more, and with their numbers not checked, they will soon devour all of the grasses.

Fil creates a race in his image, the Blackfur Wolfmen.(There are women in the group too.)

Fil Creates wolfmen.

He then tuaght these people that their goal in life was to hunt and gain the most kills. The people who killed the most muskoxes(Who are around 8 feet tall at the shoulder.and the wolfmen are around 4-5 feet tall.) would be rewarded with eternal life as long as they held the title/i]

Fil Creates a purpose for his people
Fill will award enternal life to whoever can hold the title of most muskoxes killed.

Helmaroc watches Faden's creature and grimaces. He fills the tree with small spiders, commanding them to weave snares and walls of web in an attempt to hinder the creature's progress.

Helmaroc fills the Feather Tree with small spiders, and has them spin their silk into obstacles in the former Abomination's path.

Faden, intent on the race, does nothing about the overgrazing deer.
Her champion, now as powerful and durable as she had envisioned, belches fire at the silken obstacles.

"So that is what that is! Ah." says the giant tree, finally figuring out that he was looking at a fire breathing dragon. Ortol continues to watch the race, noting that, barring any more divine intervention, both contestants should have their prize soon enough.

(Going to give it 1 more cycle until I call it and give people prizes, assuming that nobody wants to try to get both prizes with a clever scheme.)

Ortol tears his attention from the race for a moment to help get rid of a few deer. He does this by creating a magical net which floats around catching deer and dropping them from the sky.

Ortol makes a semi-intelligent deer-killing net.

Kaluri notices that which the deer are going to do, overeat their food, and the grasses, and at this point she decides to create a predator that would balance them out well enough that others could hunt as well.

This predator is feline in nature and a good sized one. She creates them with a liking for the Shaluri, a kinship of sorts. they also move with six legs, all of them with sharp claws, and a tail that is strong and agile.

Kaluri creates six-legged big-cats as predators.

Kaluri also is certain that her tenders of the grasses, the Golems would be judging wether the deer were overgrazing or not and cull, but she created the predators anyway, to be certain
