Clock Tower games are pretty much all suspense.

Do you mean the series Clock Tower or the games company Clock Tower?

First ten minutes of play I ate my loincloth and then got some limbs torn off by a super friendly rat. Thumbs up from me.

The game company Clock Tower obviously, from what I gathered interactive fiction is all the shize here.

Wow, that last one looks amazing!

I've watched LP's of Eternal Darkness and it is pretty awesome.
I'm actually going to play that game from chineseroom right now,
since it looks over the top amazing.

Even if this means preventing myself from endlessly reading through MSPA.

EDIT:
Oh no! It requires episode 2! : (

I suppose I'll have to wait for an opportunity
to get Orange Box some day.

Resident Evil: 4

If you do not agree, then wait till the guy with the chainsaw gets on your ass.
Cute dog helping you? You'll think again if you mistake him later with one that bites your head off. Fishing get's a whole other meaning in this game...

Tried playing An untitled story but for some reason whenever i jump, my guy stops moving left or right. Makes playing the game nearly impossible.

Bioshock was suspensefully "atmospheric" enough that I couldn't play it.

I can see how it's a great game, but it puts me way too much into fear, dread and panic mode.  So I guess the designers succeeded, but I can't enjoy their success.

I'm a bit of a wuss, though.  YMMV.  I had the exact same experience on Thief's "Shalebridge Cradle" level - bam.  The game was done.  Just couldn't play through it.  Great, great level but I can't handle it.

Bioshock, while not a pure scare based video game, is the only one that has ever made me jump.

I missed the room that gets covered in fog when your inside it and came back later after getting the camouflage, so when i went in, i stood still so i wouldn't get attacked and when the fog settled i was facing the wrong way so i was all confused. So i turn around while still camouflaged and there was one of those addicts standing RIGHT THERE! I could probably of looked up his nose...The controller got flung out of my hands.

Cute dog helping you? I don't remember that.

I can't tell you how many times I died from the 'shoot the water on the pier' thing, thinking that I could get away in time if I timed it right.

Ah yes, RE:4, how could I of forgoten that game?

It was acutally harder on the easy mode than normal. Right at the begining were your in that house that gets assualted by the whole village, there is a shotgun on the second floor and if you want to beat the pycho with a bag on his head and a chainsaw you kinda need it. No idea why it doesn't appear on easy.

I think they've dumbed down the excitment and suspense in the 5th one. a disappointment for me.

Man, I was playing through the game on hard, and I got stuck on the "It" thing. Man, that puzzle is hard to do when you can be nearly killed in one hit.

Pathologic.  I haven't played it, but I read that it's an absolutely stunning exercise in depression and creepiness.

Has Indigo Prophecy been brought up?  The controls are a little funky but it's really unique, more like an interactive movie than a game.  You play this guy who killed a guy in a trance (It's right at the beginning of the game, not much of a spoiler) as well as the two cops trying to track him down, and your actions directly influence the story, apparently sometimes in major ways, but I haven't played enough to see any of the long-lasting effects.

I haven't had any of that problems, but I'm starting to get really fed up with the quick time events.  It's not fun to have a quick time event come out of nowhere, fail you, and never tell you what story bit you just missed, and the ones that kill you are even worse.  I'm pushing the buttons at the right time, but it takes me six or seven tries to do some of these, it's like "You must be this angry to pass"

Also, Lucas' music collection consists entirely of Theory of a Dead Man.  All my sympathy for this guy just flew out the window, I hope the cops catch him and shoot him till he dies.

Indigo Prophecies is amazing.
Isn't there a sequel?
I thought they were making one.
