Hmmm ok maybe I wasn't totally clear, normally if you get a question right you are awarded marks. Answering incorrectly nets you nothing. However sometimes to prevent people taking wild guesses answering incorrectly will lose you marks. So answering a question correctly then answering the next one incorrectly will lose you some of the marks you gained from answering the first question correctly whereas simply not answering the second question would have resulted in no change to your marks.
