priests?

what will priests do in the new DF version? Can we build them little churches filled with statues of the deities they worship?

First, they'll make annoying mandates and demands.

Then they'll likely wander into some unsafe area and have an "unfortunate accident."

Finally, if Toady has been an especially cruel designer, Fun from above will occur.

There no gods yet. I don't think they'll start poking around until and till and if ever magic arc is in.

I hope the priest will be a mood buff, someone that the dorf can go talk to and get happy thoughts or attend service and get happy thoughts.

Of course sad thoughts from not having the dorf desired deity.

Anyway, priests will probably act just like they do in the current version.  And dwarves don't have priests yet, just humans and goblins.

I meant active gods. I know you can go see their birth in legends mode, and there temples to them that can be visted in adventure mode, they arent active though.

You will be able to mod them in as nobles easily though, and then create an order of zealot warrior-monks led by the high priest of Armok!
