So, I found some random guy's statement from a upgrade.
The following happened:

18:38   scelly9   Spent 300k on IP resets, gave away 12 million, spent 7 million on upgrades, 1 million left.
18:38   scelly9   All from a single careless log.

MWAHAHAHAHAHA

Does anyone know how often NPC computer files reset? Someone edited the clue .txt I'm on.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't take long but you can always skip a riddle and check the riddle trail list if you don't feel like waiting.

Nah. I'm sure this is pretty permenant. Not that I have tested it or anything. Last time I played this game it was years ago.

Also, a note for defending yourself: check your logs regularly. It helps to know if someone entered your system.

Looks like I'd just got one of my IPs mixed up before and they haven't reset them since I last played. I guess they never got around to it.

Edit: Already got two possible intrusions but maybe one. 82.xxx.xxx.178 and 88.xxx.xxx.89. Friendly neighbourhood dwarves? One of them deleted my firewall.

Edit2:Looks like 82.xxx.xxx.178 is deleting everything.

Yah, some people are jerks like that. When I was playing, my goal was that you never knew I was on our system, though I would regularly clean out people's bank accounts.

So, I clicked on the Desktop link on the side of the main (non-game) page to get what I earned from all my slaves before going to bed.

Yea that was really me on chat, all the activity on the thread made me remember I played this for a bit.  So I logged into it and looked at stuff,  I remember it took a lot of time to camp logs and watch stuff, so I don't really have time for it - so good luck guys...

PS: I do remember it being pretty important to use multiple open tabs to clear logs as fast as possible, once you get somebody's attention it's crazy not to.  You get into a rhythm with it after you do it a few times so it's not THAT much harder than just doing stuff one after the other, and it really cuts your window of vulnerability.

So is anyone else annoyed by the bot checks every thirty seconds?
Kind of annoying when you log into a system, then get a bot check as you're about to change the log. Leaves your IP hanging there for the time it takes to get rid of the capcha.
