Haha, apparently someone re-upped my IP to the bank after I had cleared it and logged out.

That's why I don't mess with banks.  I happily just let my money slowly trickle in patiently from player slaves that I hid viruses on that I periodically update to my newest virus strength.

Thats one of the reasons I help newbies out a bit.  I stick a virus on them and give them a basic firewall.  Firewall helps keep my virus safe from low levels cutting into my profits, sometimes I give a seeker or av too out of the kindness of my heart, though not strong enough to see my own virus of course. and if the new player gives up I have a free secure slave that never shows up in anyone's logs but my own, giving me a constant supply of euros.   I know for sure that I have 1 player that quit, I think I may have two.  If I keep it up I should end up with a constant trickle of maintenance free cash from a bunch of inactives within a week.

Thats pretty much how the older players got their cash, except they slaved VPCs

I found a BIG goons sevrer. It has 5.6 waterwall, 4.5 encryption/decryption, 5.0 seeker/hider, 5.2 crc...

Anyway, it's at 165.110.56.144. I propose we download/tamper with it. Sadly my drive doesn't have remotely enough space for that data.

Edit: oh, and no firewall, so go nuts.

I also have 8 bank account numbers.
Only eight? I think I have eleven, and I never even look at the logs. For comparison, I have maybe five IPs. People need to be more careful  :P

GREAGH!

Are you not allowed to log in to other accounts if you have an account at a bank? Because twice this has happened:

-I crack an account
-I log into said account, and it says I was successful, continue
-It takes me back to the login (WTF?)
-I enter the same login and it tells me it was wrong

I have probably 100+ IPs of people and at least 30 bank accounts, but most of them are newbies.

I've slaved about 80 people with viruses over time but almost all of them removed me later even though I hid the virus with a .8 hider. I kept a few for a while, but I'm down to 8 slaves right now and one of them is nearly worthless which I think is due to other people adding viruses (he was empty when i hit him). Most of them were newbies, so they didn't take care of their IP. Lots of them reset it and I lost them due to that, others just did hard drive wipes constantly so I stopped bothering. I don't think any of them are exclusive, since their income seems to be dropping over time.

I've cracked 19 bank accounts so far, but few of them had money. Most of my money actually came from bank cracking... I've made around 2200 or so from banks, and only a measly 600 or so from spammer slaves. One account netted me small sums of money 4 times, for a total of around 600. That poor newbie just didn't get it. I'm not sure if he just didn't realise he was being robbed or if he didn't know how to make new accounts.

I wasn't taking the full amount - I was stripping about 95% and leaving a few bucks in every time. It felt kinda like when you collect eggs from a hen - leave one egg and she'll keep laying there lol. My only guess is he thought "Gee, I thought I had 150 euros yesterday. Now I have 15? I guess I was mistaken. *deposits more*"

Oh, and I wouldn't suggest cracking bank accounts if you want your IP hidden. There are *way* too many people camping banks to keep the IP safe, and when you log in it puts your IP in there with the account - without giving you enough time to delete it before pretty much everyone sees it. I did my bank cracking after people started nailing me hard and the goons got my IP and were hiding my stuff every 15 minutes. The irony is I made more money robbing bank accounts while the goons were harassing me than I did doing "normal" stuff before that. I just cracked account after account, every so often reloading my cracker from the external drive when a goon came by and hid/deleted it.

I don't know which is which, I caught a few numbers that were transferred to, which suggests that at worst they're holding accounts for players with enough software/hardware to crack bank accounts (takes me 8 minutes, ridiculous).

Can anyone help me with the crypto riddle? I know it's a math problem, but I can't get any of the IP's to work.

It might be because people are editing the riddles just to be jackasses. I've logged into the sites after they reset and 5 mins later here comes some guy who edits the riddle numbers so that they make no sense.

I think a lot of the veteran players do things solely to run off new players. Like editing the riddles, or sitting at 1.1.1.1 and finding newbie IPs and then logging onto them and hiding everything as they download it.

Sigh, someone hacked my bank account. Someone got the number, I changed the password but they probably hacked it again. Is there any way to change the account number?

I hope it wasn't me. I've been going on a cracking spree. Sorry if it was.
How much did you lose?

I think you have to start a new one if you want to change the number. I'm not sure, though.

Yes, you have to start a new one.

You can delete your free account from the finances page, then visit the first bank in the list to open a new one.

Or you can visit the other banks, but they charge a fee - they're more secure, though.

I've already went through at least 10 accounts lol. I haven't been robbed yet, but I'm super paranoid and keep deleting and remaking them. Every time my account is empty I delete it and remake it "just in case."

It's also a good idea to make multiple accounts when you start to get money. Put a few hundred in each and only use 1 of the accounts at a time when collecting your slaves - that way if someone DID listen in, they only have a few hundred - not your whole stash.

Decent strategy at the beginning.

Watch out once you get better hardware though, being 5/5/5ed isn't profitable
