Obviously this stuff gets passed whenever I'm not listening to Parliment or something... (edit: so yeah, not parliment who do it anyway, shouldn't have been so stupid as to think it was
) It can't be right. If it is however, the blogger from the article has it about right:
“Why ban small boobs? I can only assume it stems from paranoia that flat chests somehow stir up the pedophiles. And you only need to mention that “p” word to start a full-scale moral panic in Parliament.”
“Shall we put such hysteria aside and look at what this ruling is saying to Australian women? Basically, it’s classing a certain normal female body type as obscene. It’s declaring all flat chests to be automatically juvenile, something that should not be viewed by anyone because of a fear that it will stir up “base instincts” in certain people.”
“Can the Classification Board be any more insulting or sexist?”
All hail our (Australia's) constant march towards social regression! To hell with those modern ideals of sexual liberty, we have to enforce what must obviously be poorly made legislation to try and ward off an intangible and ultimatley minor threat!
Edit: wait, whoa, watersports are deemed offensive?
Female Ejaculation?! This is worse than I thought, you can guarantee if mainstream Australian society was actually even marginally informed about this there'd be far more of a public outcry. Though in retrospect, I probably should have figured it when I found out that X rated movies aren't allowed to be sold in most of Australia... Well. I wanted to become a lawyer eventually, looks like I've found a purpose - trying to counteract the insane censorship we have here >.>
edit number 2: Didn't read the second blog, so it seems the small breast thing ain't really accurate. I'm still focused on the rest of the mater though... comparisons to Victorian era society seem reasonable.
