@Helgoland: Might I suggest a newsboy cap? Very practical and can be worn with almost anything, and if made from tweed they can withstand even the heaviest rain.

@Vector: As for the color, people nowadays keep crying about dark blue and charcoal, but I always was a man for mid-greys, as they tend to be quite flattering to the absolute majority of complexions. That said, something dark is also a good choice, although it can be viewed as too stuffy in a more casual workplace. Just make sure to avoid black and especially black with pinstripes, it almost always looks horrible in daytime. I can't really give you any advice on the particular brand, as I do not know your body type and where you live, but among the ubiquitous ones Marks and Spencer tends to be decent.

With the rising heat and humidity, my hair has finally become unmanageable to the point of having to manage it. I only had a velcro cable tie to do it with, which I found hilarious.

I usually grow it out when I can because going to a barber is too much effort. Also, what is this 'managing hair' that you people speak of? I just get up in the morning and pat it down. It usually works.
