We're so flat people call us a pancake land.

Rice fields are pretty though, so post them :x
You call that flat?
You haven't seen Ohio.

At least you have hills. Glaciers ate all our hills.

This is what most of Indiana is like also.  There's some hilly areas in the southern part of the state and some scattered bits here and there, but most everything within a couple hours drive from me in any direction is as flat.

I remember driving across both, and wondering how they got so flat when Michigan is so hilly.

Living in a land of verticality (is that even a word), I feel very uneasy in places that stretch to the horizon. It makes me feel.... vulnerable, exposed... ugh.

Apparently there is way to measure the curvature of the earth without using shadows there, but only on a cool day because otherwise the atmosphere refracts too much.

I prefer this sort of area.

Low res but oh well.
This is the Dandenong Ranges, about 15 minutes drive from where I live.

I live in Flanders. This place is quite flat, but because there's a high population density you never actually see that.

I prefer mountainous places tough.
Hmm, Austria~

In Michigan, the Upper Peninsula gets all the cool terrain. These are known as the pictured rocks. Not seen are the caves people kayak through, or the tower shaped rock formation called Miner's Castle.

Fuck yeah, Michigan. If I weren't on my phone, I'd probably post a picture of the Sleeping Bear Dunes.

Nice waterfall. Here is one of ours: Pistill Rhaeadr, about an hours drive from where I am sitting. With an 80 metre (approx 260ft) drop made of two stages, it is the 3rd tallest in the UK. Note the pretty cool natural archway at the bottom of the first stage. I love the contrasting colours in this picture.

Pnx

British isles definitely has some pretty damn interesting terrains. I find myself missing the crazy cliffs on the coastlines, and the rolling hills which made for some very quaint displays.

Round 2: Fight!!  Vector cooks "picadillo" while sick.  I give up, blagh, blargh, please don't hurt me, etc.

Spoiler: Wokka wokka wokka (click to show/hide)

Actually, it tastes quite good!  I was mostly scared because I couldn't smell anything, which is usually how I figure out if shit is going well or not.  It's very heavy, though, compared to what I usually eat.  And, I should have used fresher beans, LOL.  And probably gotten a bit wiser about the cheese.  I certainly learned something!

On the other hand--all that means it'll be a good lunch to pack on workdays!!  Something I've been looking for for a while.  I could definitely eat this every day for a bit.
