Did you do the thing where you have more in depth conversations with your teachers than with your fellow students? I did that a lot growing up.

It's also funny, because while I certainly have always felt much older and mature than I actually am, currently I also simultaneously don't quite feel like an adult yet.

Apparently yes, they do, they started stopping children from working in factories as soon as they gained independence, and have over time stepped up attempts to stop children working and getting them into schools.

Though apparently these policies haven't been 100% effective.
