So in a different subject, I posted this stuff in life advice on the subject of artwork, but I figured I'd share them here too because I want to get people's reactions to my ugly mug. I'm just going to copy paste this stuff...

This is the perspective drawing I was talking about, it's the sort of thing I think you'd enjoy, I'd recommend getting some video tutorials on the principles behind it. I found it very fun to do.

This one didn't turn out all that great, I got the proportions a bit wrong, and I really rushed the hair, but I think the eyes turned out pretty damn great, and overall it was a good experience.


This is an earlier picture of the same thing, before I did the hair, and some other things. I figured I'd throw this in since I had it.

And since you really need a point of reference to tell how accurate this self-portrait is...


Ugh. Now you see why I haven't posted pictures of myself before. I'm really not photogenic, I swear I don't walk around with my eyes half closed all the time! Also I'm sorry about the blurriness and such, it's all the camera's fault I swear!

Believe it or not these two were amongst twelve others I took with that camera, they were the ones that seemed alright on the camera's screen. The blurriness was something I only saw once I'd gone through the process of borrowing my mother's laptop, transferring them to a flash drive, then pulling them up onto my computer (we don't have a cable for the camera, and my mother's is the only one that can read the card)... At that point I didn't feel like taking more pictures, so I just posted them.

Glad I'm not the old lady of the forums. Recently there was an age poll and it seemed like most of the users here were mid-teens. I suppose it's possibly just a sampling bias (is that the right term? where only the people who answer the poll get counted, and the ones more likely to answer are also younger for whatever reason).

KaelGotDwarves, you'd love Prague. My group of friends regularly hang out in the park with various musical instruments and do fire pois and juggling while a few play music and someone tap dances on a portable tap dancing floor. Also lots of cheap beer and wine and a view of the city.

Prague is a pretty city, it's been over 10 years since I was last in that whole Europe area though. I've been meaning to make various juggling/hippie festivals out there but I'm currently stuck in Asia to wrap up schooling.
