Right. So, I'm bored out of my skull, the next release of DF seems to be nowhere near... and thus, I hereby decided to show you a couple of hats from my drawer.

Big round of applause for Lt. Lamp who has always helped me present poorly photographed hats.

Now from all this I can draw a few conclusions.
-It's really easy to shop for my birthday.
-I really need a mannequin head. Or a hundred.
-I am totally not obsessed by hats.

Cheap as dirt at army surplus stores, or from ebay. And yes, that actually is my winter hat. It's got mouth protection and those furry ear flaps, with some special removable covers to some strategic holes that help you hear stuff around you. Personally I like threading my headset wires through those holes.

It is a testament to my trust in this community that I, after more or less renouncing Facebook and the whole idea of internet-induced narcissism that has taken over modern society, have decided to share this picture of myself, partly because I'm an "older woman" to most of you (I'm 28 though I look younger) and I'm confident I'm a very nice-looking chick for a gamer, and partly because I've had almost a whole bottle of wine tonight, and what is getting drunk alone in your apartment for if not for posting ridiculous things on the internet?

Some sort of cloth with two snap fasteners that you can close over your mouth to keep your lips from freezing. Sort of thing.

Well, apparently the average age on these forums is somewhere around 15, so I'm an older woman to most of them. ;o)

I drew that avatar years ago. I should update it, I guess. My face hasn't changed much but my drawing skills have improved...

A lot of the regulars are in their mid twenties and older, I'm 22 myself. But there are a lot of people in their teens around here, some of them quite young.
