Actually, it was sunny out and I can't see more than 6 inches in front of my face w/o glasses T_T

Thanks though, I'm glad you like it.

That seems odd to me, but maybe it just comes as part of living somewhere cosmopolitan, with all sorts of ethnic groups. I've always been a bit biased toward gals with squareish faces.

We're mostly ethnically uniform. Among the people living here most are Slavic people: Belarusians (who constitute the majority of the population), Russians (who live in the eastern part of the country and in big cities), Ukrainians (who live in the southern part of the country), Poles (who live in the western part of the country). Lithuanians live in the areas near the border between Belarus and Lithuania.
Due to Catherine the Great's Pale of Jewish Settlement, we used to have a large Jewish community. Most Jews were killed by Nazis when Belarus was under Nazi German occupation during WW2.
There are occasional immigrants from Central Asia and the Caucasus, and students participating in student exchange programs, mostly from China, Central Asian countries (Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, etc.) and central/southern Africa. According to my dad, there were several Korean students in his school, and one of the teachers working in the school was also Korean.
Most people of other ethnicities who settle down here get assimilated over time. Several generations later, their descendants become indistinguishable from Belarusians.

Soooo I decided to play dressup

IDEK, I was really bored.

For some odd reason, you in this picture remind me of Ayn Rand.

Pretty! The earrings and ring/bracelet/sleeve thing on your hand is super-fancy too. The pose makes you look kinda like you're holding an invisible one of those long cigarette holders, though. The ones that look like miniature vuvuzelas that give you lung cancer.

Or an electronic cigarette. They are held in a similar fashion.

And here I was thinking you'd tried on a new outfit, and posed in front of a black and white camera.

It's the flapper thing, although harsh lighting also makes people look older.  If you compare this picture to some indoor ones, you'll see a pretty big difference, although the graduation pictures turned out pretty well, too, but those were also much farther away.

If you've got a bunch of huge mirrors lying around, you can compensate for the sun's intensity.

This made me mentally picture a footrest wearing a flapper dress and earrings.

You thought I'd just mistaken you for Ayn Rand there, didn't you? Hmh. Acting.

I don't think the similarity is all that strong.
