It's a 17 year old cat that was at the bed and breakfast we stayed in for a week on the vacation. I don't know the gender or the name, but he's a lovely guy/girl.

That's why we had a pool at the house we rented. The pool also served as the drinking well for all wasps in a five kilometer radius. For some reason, they weren't actually aggresive.

I did something like this once when I was a kid.  Not nearly so impressive, but that's because I took no shortcuts.  Two days stacking snowballs by hand and packing them together as tight as I could.  I then ran in and out of the house with a big cup pouring water over the whole thing to coat it in ice.  IIRC, it took until mid-July for it to melt away completely.
