Relative to most places north of the equator, Australia is kind of a furnace. Hell, where I'm from the temperature would rarely drop below 27.

That was last year, and the winter was pretty bad. But seriously, it need to be like -15°C for you not to overheat with that coat, but it just look so awesome.

I still only wear it like once or twice a year: it's authentic wolf skin my grand dad bought in Afghanistan back in 1978, so it's loosing some hair. It also get me a lot of angry reactions from my hippie biologists friends. :p

The way I see it is that if it was killed for another reason it would be wrong not to utilize what's available. I'm not sure if wolves in Afghanistan are a serious threat, but if the coat's been in use for 34 years I don't think anyone should be complaining anymore.

This is mainly due to the fact that the only two places (barring Antarctica) that approach the same distance from the equator as southern canada are Tierra del Fuego in South America and South Island, New Zealand - So there's not many non-polar cold regions in the southern hemisphere.

Even this far south, (Vic), it's cold, but it only drops below 10C in winter probably once every ten years. I feel I should post an image to avoid derailing, but I haven't got any good ones.

Aw, man, don't even start me on our so-called temperate climate.
Last winter we had a solid minus 25 Celsius, and right not there's 40 in the shade.
This place is a nightmare.

I've always been very warm-blooded and struggle with the summer, but am fine in the winter. I suppose that means my metabolism is quite fast.
