So I was messing with my webcam to get a picture of my favorite sword, and I snapped a picture when I was messing with the settings.  It came out ok, so I figured 'what the hell I might as well go and join the bay 12 photo share thread!'. So here I am.

I didn't realize how dangerously close the katana was to my face and throat area till I took the picture and looked at it later 0_0

I have a really young looking face.  It's hard to believe I'll be eighteen in little over 3 months just from looking at the picture.

don't take me wrong, but, its hard to believe you're over 13 if you're taking pictures of yourself with a katana. the photoshop job doesn't help your case either

I was just trying to get a picture of the sword to send to a friend, and got that one when I was messing with my webcam software which I never use.

nah, not offensive at al. and i'm not sure if sarcasm, but i didn't mean the "long, bloody history" the katana shares with any other weapon of war, if that's what you meant, i meant the history it has on the internet, as being the object of embarrassing fascination and fetishism of many pubescent younglings with an often annoying obsession for what they, often uninformedly, perceive as asian\japanese culture.
again, don't take it wrong, i'm not assuming anything about you, it's just that photographs of "me posing with a katana" have become somewhat loaded and might motivate some assumptions that the poster might fit into a speciffic archetype. case in point

Oh, that's what you meant.  No, I'm not like that.  I just wanted to identify some markings on the blade, and it happened to be there when I was messin with my camera.

Edit: Also just now went back and read what you linked to.  I want to assure you, I do not have a strange obsession with Katanas that is prevelant all over the internet.  Just anything sharp in general
